The second bonus level taken with the bird's eye view camera. Sparx has the same moves and powerups as the 1st bonus level, except these spiders are a little faster and there's more of them. Right from the start, Sparx faces a bigger aggressive spider. This one stays put and pivots in corners but shoots wave bursts as you approach the room. Position Sparx at a 45 degree diagonal just out of reach of enemy fire and plug away. Hitting the spider will sound like a tin can. Some of Sparx's firepower will be neutralized by the spider, so make sure you time your shots well. When he vaporizes, a colored key or special power-up is left behind. Each colored key will deactivate an electrical field nearby. As in Crawdad Farm, there are huts that enemies come out of, that need to be destroyed. 2 of the flower huts have force fields that need to be disarmed first. You will need to find the octagonal pad sensor for each hut. Yes, they are guarded by the bigger spiders. It's very important to conserve power-up ammo as best you can to make sure you are using it to its full advantage when you really need it. Make sure you grab all the gems in the area before you move on. It's hard to back-track in this level. The last room is a show-down with the big spider. This guy twirls and moves around. While he twirls, Sparx's firepower is useless. You have to follow him closely and when he stops, fire as fast as you can. You'll hear that tin can "ping" when a hit is successful. As he stops, the spider releases 8 little spiders. You have to take care of them right away. There is ONE health snack flying around for Sparx, should he need it. As you hit the spider, his health meter goes down (bottom left). Eventually he blows up. NEW EARNED POWERS: Sparx can now help Spyro find missing gems. Hold down [L1,L2,R1,R2] and Sparx points in the direction of any nearby gems, like a compass.
