Pablo explains to Spyro that the rhynocs forced all the citizens to build a statue of the Sorceress. Spyro's job is to find Jasper who has a plan to blow it up, and then run the gauntlet of flying rhynocs to destroy the statue.

The ugly flying rhynocs are everywhere and they spit fireballs. Near every flying rhynoc (there's 12 of them along the way) Spyro will find a lava ball nearby which he can swallow, aim with the [circle] button and fire back at the flying rhynoc. If you happen to miss, there's an unlimited supply of fireballs where you originally found the first one. The jack-hammer ryhnocs can be easily flamed from a distance. The larger wooden mallet rhynocs fall with a flame. |

Fly across to the far set of towers. Take care of business and fly across to the island to get the 1st egg. Fly back, grab a lava ball in the room and fire at the flying rhynoc hovering just outside the balcony. Fly across, grab the
whirlwind, and then from the top ledge, glide straight ahead to the far away series of towers. There are lots of rhynocs defending the statue area so be careful. Grab a lava ball and take out the flying rhynocs first. Now go after the other critters.

Once the coast is clear, light the fuses on 4 different rockets and blow up the statue. Jasper will then appear, open the exit portal and give you another egg. Down inside the center column where the statue once was, is the first magic whirlwind challenge. This is the second skateboard arena of the game with some longer ramps and trickey sections. The 1st challenge is training with Hunter and then doing a successful trick for at least 500pts.
The 2nd challenge is beating Hunter at a race up to 3,000 under 2 min. |

Past the exit portal is a whirlwind up to a ledge where Spyro can glide to another set of farway towers. There's lots of rhynocs here so be on your guard. Up the ramp, is Sgt.Byrd's 2nd house. If you have already been through Sgt.Byrd's Base Camp level you can go inside and morph back to this level as the flying penguin. As Sgt.Byrd, you can go to Ooga, get the 8 bones from the tower balconies and fire rockets at the balloons holding gem bottles and zap the high-flying rhynocs. |

The last challenge is in the tunnel past the lava waterfall. Mowat wants Spyro to return his pet wolf, Farley.
The trick is to have Farley chase the ball and stand on the blue floor grate, activating a switch, while Spyro climbs stairs and pushes the red buttons to open a door gate to the next section. The secret is to have Farley the wolf continually advance with the ball near Spyro at all times. Eventually you return to Mowat with Farley by your side.

GLADYS = Glide to the tower pedestal island from the balcony. PEANUT = Destroying the Sorceress statue with the 4 rockets. PETER = Completing the skateboard training with Hunter and scoring a 500pt trick. ALEX = Beating Hunter in the timed skateboard trick challenge (4,000pts) LYS = Reward for returning Farley the pet wolf, to Mowat. RALPH = Reward for returning the 8 bones to Ooga the caveman. |
