Shades of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft. Funny how the character to rescue in this level is "Tara" and of course she is off "Raiding Tombs". Now that wouldn't have anything to do with PlayStation Marketing. Right? OK. So go battle some scorpions.

The smaller black/red scorpions have a lightning quick tail that fires at you, but if you charge them and flame head-on before they can coil their tail, this isn't a problem. The larger more menacing red scorpions have a deadly fan flame breath, but a well-timed jump with a flame will take care of them as well. The circular pedestals in the middle of the lava pools sink, so don't wait around. Jump/glide to safety quickly. The set of stairs to the right has a key chest up top.

All the bridges are electrified by metal rhynocs blowing heat on them. You have to time your jump to land while the bridge is gray, so you can charge the metalbot. He is immune to flame. Work across the next set of pedestals to the inside of the big white castle. Inside are more scorpions and metalbots and this time some of the wall ladders are electrified. Once you make it through the building, Tara gives you an egg and the exit portal. The head of the statue now has stairs.

Return to the back of the central area, jump over to the 2 little islands on the right, climb the ladder, over to Shiela's House. In the cave next to her house, is a lava river with pedestal islands, that you have to jump over. Another egg awaits. Jump to the walkway, take out the scorpions, knock out the cracked wall at the end. Walk down the tunnel and pick up the key. Fly across and back-track to the key chest near the start of the level. From there go upstairs in the castle.

Fall down the portal in the 2nd floor and enter the underwater cave. Hunter has rigged his pet manta ray with rocket power missles. Your mission is to destroy the 8 mechanical sharks with rhynocs aboard. Watch out for hostile fire if you follow too closely. One hit and you'll have to do it over. I found it easy to blast them from above. Use the manta ray missle fire to destroy all the gem chests while you're riding. Blowing up all the seaweed, is good for a skill point too.

From the central area, by the entrance to the castle, jump the 2 small islands, climb the ladder, and then go right. First, jump/fly/hover across to the hand to the far ledge. Break the bullseye gem chest. Fly back. Now walk up the ledge. From the top, fly across to the outstretched statue hand that is lying in the river. Walk across and then jump/hover to the right to a ledge. Up top is an egg. Clean up all the gems and then fly/hover over to the island ahead, then to Sheila's house.

Morphed as Shiela, you have to run the gauntlet across lava wateralls and sinking pedestals. The side-pan camera stays on all the time, so you need to concentrate as if you are playing from behind. All the scorpions fall to the foot kick and Shiela does have to use the super hop jump a number of times. There are 2 eggs along the way. Be sure to have Sparx at full health before you enter this challenge. It's almost impossible to get through without some damage.

ANDY = On the ledge that you access by flying to the statue hand in the lava river.
NELLY = Making it down the lava river pedestal jump sequence.
MARTY = Reward for rescuing Tara opening the exit portal.
SADIE = Reward for blasting the 8 mechanical sharks on Hunter's pet manta ray.
LESTER = As Krash Kangaroo, for clearing out the first half of the gauntlet.
PETE = As Krash Kangaroo, for clearing out the second half of the gauntlet.
