The camera goes passive and long view. Nate walks up the grassy slope to the base of the stone wall of the fortress. Walk up the stone steps on the right side of the wall. Take a minute to look over the steep cliffs down to the ocean. You'll see crashing waves over the rocks, seagulls flying, and misty clouds covering the forest we just came from. Incredible graphics and a sense of realism that makes you feel part of an real adventure, not just a game.

From the end of the steps, jump up and grab the hanging vine. Use the left analog stick and [run/swing] along the wall back and forth. When you have enough momentum, run to the right, let go and grab the stone ledge in the wall [1]. Jump up the ledges to the left, avoid the crumbling ledges, up to the highest ledge [2]. Leap to the right and grab the vine [3]. Run swing across to the right, let go and grab the next ledge [4]. Pull up into the window arch [5].

Walk down the dimly lit hallway. Past the 2nd room, there's another open window arch. Safety drop down from the window [circle], back outside, and drop down [circle] to the wall cracks [1]. Lean right and grab the 1st hanging vine [2]. Run swing back and forth then leap to grab the 2nd vine [3]. Run swing on the 2nd vine and grab the ledge on the far right. Shimy around the corner and leap up the wall ledges to the very top. Jump left til you're above the window.

Grab the hanging vine above the window and slide down to the window. [action sequence] Nate repels off the wall, drops down on the vine and smashes through the window with both feet. He tumbles on the floor and then stands up. We're now back inside the fortress but we've alerted the mercenaries. You can hear them yelling out in the courtyard. Load your 9MM or MP40 and slowly peek out the doorway.

2 enemies are in very close range. From the doorway take them down, or wait til they come in the room after you, and use a surprise brutal combo attack. Walk out to the courtyard. Duck for cover behind a stone pillar. There are snipers up top along the wall. Release your cover and sneak a few shots from behind the pillar without getting hit. Head-shots would be ideal here. Once it's quiet, pick-up all the ammo and walk up the steps on the far side to the lookout.

As soon as you reach the top, 3 more mercenaries start to fire from behind the stone walls. Duck for cover and pick-off the enemies one by one, before they run up and get too close. Pick-up all the ammo left behind (keep the MP40) and walk to the very end on the right. Take a running jump to the building roof in the middle (under the shade) [X]. Pick-up treasure 19/60 Strange Relic, which is a special reward Relic Hunter. Jump back to the walkway.

On your way to the next courtyard, along the lookout, look inside all the turrets for ammo. Climb up over the rubble to the far turret on the left [X]. Inside, pick-up treaure 20/60 Silver jaguar. You should also get another reward Intermediate Fortune Hunter (10 pts). Climb over the rubble. Look for the coutyard with the large archway and ramps on either side. Drop down through the rubble then jump down to the ground. Don't go up either ramp just yet. Turn around.

Along the back stone wall (shaded), there are 2 large iron gates. Go to the gate on the right, partially covered with rubble. Climb up over the rubble and walk right up to the gate [X]. Look right. Walk over and grab treasure 21/60 Gold Mosaic Inca Earring. Walk back out into the courtyard. Load your AK-47 rifle and walk up either ramp. Peek out from behind the walls and walk into the next courytard with all the crates and military truck. THE FIREFIGHT BEGINS!

Stay in the archway. Hide behind the crates for now and take-on the enemies that come out from behind the truck or behind the crates. There is also a guy manning a portable machine gun turret which has unlimited ammo. When you're ready to take him on, slide along the left wall. Peek out from behind the wall, and peg him with your MP40 (head-shot) while he's shooting. Once the area's quiet, pick-up all the ammo you can. I switched back to the 9MM pistol.

Walk through the archway into the dark rooms. WATCH-OUT FOR AN AMBUSH! There's 1 enemy at close range. Perfect opportunity for a brutal combo attack. Walk up the stairs back outside to the upper lookout. In the corner, you can see the high lookout tower with a parachute hanging over the side. This is where Elena must have dropped, but where did she go? Walk up the stone tower steps and examine her parachute. Use the zipline [1] to drop down into the radio room.

[movie sequence begins] Nate sees Elena peering out from a nearby high balcony filming with her video recorder? What's the hell is she doing? He then talks in Spanish into the radio microphone, to get someone's attention. His Spanish is not good but he gets the job done. The gate opens. Only one problem! There's lots of heavily armed men coming through the gate.

On the wooden desk, next to the microphone, pick-up the Smith and Wesson 44 (powerful pistol). From behind the iron window grate, peek around the corner and shoot as many men as you can down below. 1 well-aimed good shot should kill an enemy (love the kickback effect when you shoot). You only have 6 shots so be patient. Pick-up the MP40 and shoot-out the lock on the iron gate and bust it open. Walk back outside to the lookout. Go to the left and duck.

There is still one guy manning the machine gun turret. Peek out from behind a stone pillar, and peg him while he's shooting. You should be able to shoot his legs or arms to pull him away from the turret armor. Once he's down, safety-drop over the wall to the lower courtyard. Pick-up all the ammo you can find, and head off through the archway to the dark passage. Go to your left, and safety drop down into the water canal. Duck for cover behind a wall column.

There's a machine gun turret at the very end of the passage. Follow the rhythm of his shooting pattern. When it goes quiet, climb your way along the right wall ledges and pull-up on the first stone bridge. Take care of the goon inside the room with a brutal attack combo. Go to the table in the room and grab the M79 RPG grenade launcher. Go back outside, Peek out from behind the wall [R3 to correct your shoulder view] and blow-up the turret with a rocket grenade.

Go back and pick-up your AK-47 rifle and any ammo. Walk down the stairs to the next room. At the bottom, go to your right [X] and pick-up treasure 22/60 Golden Spoon in the corner. Load up on any ammo you don't have including the grenades. Safety-drop down from the room back into the canal water and work your way to where the turret was. Climb up to the ledge. Before going into the next water room with the round pillars, make sure your rifle is ready.

Jump down to the water. Enemies come out from everywhere. Behind the columns, up on the scaffolding and on the back platform. Take them down peeking from behind the cover of the columns. Move around! DON'T STAY IN ONE PLACE! Men drop in from various points and will pin you down, leaving yourself an open target (and with shotguns). If you're not smart, you'll die! Once quiet, find ammo in the water, and climb the scaffolding to the upper decks.

Pick-up the AK-47 on the scaffolding (from the guy you killed) then jump across to the column with the small wood planks. Shimy around to the other side, lean back and pull up to the stone platform. Grab the AK-47 in the corner for more ammo. Go to the chain winch and pull up the iron gate [triangle]. Go inside the next room. The gate will slam behind you (no way back). Jump down into the water. Swim to the far left wall [1] and shimy along the wall ledges.

Shimy along the wall til you reach the small alcove. Pull up and cross the channel in the floor to the winch. Pull the winch til the water starts to flow. Water starts to pour into the room, raising the level of the water. Jump back in the water and swim to the other wall. Climb up and shimp across to the other alcove. Pull the winch and flood the room. Jump back in the water and swim out to the stairs. Climb the stairs to the room. CHAPTER ENDS!
