[movie sequence] Will you look at that! Ok so what's an old rusty 1940's German U-boat doing in the middle of a tropical forest in Panama, wrecked on the crest of a waterfall? Nathan wants to go search it right away, but Sully's a little suspicious. He think the whole thing feels "henky", (his redneck way of saying dangerous?). Nathan says they have nothing to lose, and maybe there's a valuable clue inside the boat.

Jump in the water and swim beside the U-boat up towards the waterfall. We're not going to get in the easy way, so we're going to have to climb the cliffs at the back. Pull up out of the stream on the right. Go to the back wall and climb the wall ledge. Jump to the right and grab the hanging vine. Drop down to the bottom of the vine [circle] and swing left and right using the left analog stick. When you have enough swing momentum, leap to the far ledge on the right and pull up.

Climb the next rock ledge and turn around. Grab the next hanging vine and swing to the left and right. Get enough momentum to reach the small ledge on the left. Pull up and walk to the far left. Jump up and grab the wall crack. Shimy to the left. Jump across to the rock face on the left. Hang from the rock face and shimy to the left. You are now high above the uboat (it's a long way down). Shimy around the corner and jump to the top rock ledge. Shimy back to the right [X]. |

Pull up on the small ledge and find the sparkle. Pick-up treasure 7/60 Gold Tairona Pendant. Safety-drop [circle] back down to the ledge, shimy right all the way around the rock face. Lean back with the controller, and leap to the back ledge. Climb up and walk around the back of the waterfall. Jump to the next stone ledge and out to the front of the rock face on the far side. Jump across to the small rock ledge. Safety-drop [circle] to the ledge below. Go to the right. |

Jump across the last 2 ledges, then safety-drop [circle] down over the rock face and shimy to the right. Safety-drop down 2 ledges then drop down to the hull of the U-boat. Sully yells up to you from the clearing, and asks if you can get inside? Before going inside, walk along the deck of the boat, to the bow (front) [X]. Look for the sparkle and pick-up treasure 8/60 Gold & Turquoise Inca Earring. Now, walk back to the con-tower, climb up and drop in through the hatch. |

We're now inside the U-boat and you can only go in one direction. Go down the passage to the next cargo hold. Go to the round door hatch and turn the wheel [triangle+leftstick]. Go down the next passage into the next cargo hold and turn the wheel on the next hatch. Nothing bad is going to happen and there are no treasures in the boat. Keep going. [movie sequence] Nate finds a dead sailor and he's been clawed or hacked to death. Definitely not a humane way to die. |

Walk down the next hallway and drop down through the hatch in the floor. Turn around and walk the other way up the cargo hold. Turn the wheel on the next door hatch and go into the next cargo hold. You're now filling up with water. When you can't walk any more, swim to the far end. Leap and grab the ladder and climb up the hatch to the upper level. Walk down the hallway to the captains' quarters. [movie sequence]. Nate radios Sully and tells him he's made it! |

Nate searches around the cabin and draws back the curtains. The captain never left! He's been hacked to death like the other sailor. Sully tells Nate to search for his wallet (1-track mind). Nate pulls out a map that the captain had clenched in his hands. It's a map of an island with co-ordinates UK2642? Nate turns around and looks at the world navigation map and finds grid UK! We know where the Spanish took El Dorado! |

Sully's radio goes quiet. When gameplay returns, go back down the passage to the hatch in the front. Go through the hatch and drop in the water. [movie sequence] Nate swims back to the clearing only to find that Sully's been taken hostage at gunpoint. Seems the man he owes money too.. Gabriel Roman and his partner Navarro had to see for themsleves this grand treasure and now wants to find it for his own. Unfortunately they heard everything. |

Nate hands Roman the map he found in the U-boat. Sully asks Roman if they're square now, but Roman has another idea and wants to teach them a lesson. He shoots Sully dead. Nate screams for Sully but just then an explosion rocks the U-boat sending everyone flying and ducking for cover (must have been the torpedo). Nate sees an opening and escapes to the passageway. Navarro and his men chase him. |

REMEMBER! Nathan has no weapons (they were taken away) so any enemy he faces, he's gonna have to face with his fists. Approach the solider coming up through the forest and meet him head-on with a few punches before he shoots. Use a brutal attack combo [square + triangle + square] and take him down. Make sure the punch lands before using the next button! Run through the archway and into the clearing. |

[movie sequence] Nate hides behind one of the stone pillars as Navarro's soldiers run right by. Elena pulls him back into the shade, and decks him one with her fist. What's that for? "For leaving me stranded on the island". Nate explains that Sully is dead and they have to get out of Panama before things get real serious and they die. Elena hands Nate her pistol. |

Nate and Elena are now going to have to back-track through the ruins to Sully's boat. This time, it's going to be crawling with Roman's & Navarro's soldiers. Run up by the entrance. Duck for cover [circle] behind one of the stone pillars. Load the pistol aim and fire on the soldiers hiding inside. If you can, try for a clean head-shot. If you can get 5 clean head-shot kills you'll be rewarded with 5 points. Elana will be by your side now, and actually kills some soldiers. |

Once the soldiers are dead, run into the ruins. Grab any left-over ammo and maybe, if you're lucky, find the AK-47 rifle. You can toggle between weapons using the left directional buttons. You can only carry 2 at a time. Walk up the passages to the next wall. Jump up and hang from the wall. A soldier is waiting for you up top. You can fire any weapon while hanging from a ledge. Use [L1+R1] like you would normally use. You have to aim quickly before he shoots. |

Once he dies, quickly pull-up and run into the temple. Duck for cover behind one of the pillars. There are 3 more soldiers hiding in the room. Peek out from behind the pillar, aim and shoot any soldier, before they start to surround you. Run and sommersault to another pillar and duck again. Peek out from behind the pillar and kill another soldier. Pick-up their weapons and any spare ammo lying around. AK-47 carries up to 100 shots. Great automatic weapon with a large target ring. |

Jump across the temple pit with the fallen pillars. Elena will run ahead and hide behind boulders or pillars, but never out of sight. Watch for more soldiers at the other end. Go into the sundial room then up the stairs to the rooms with the overhead flaming baskets. Keep your pistol loaded with the target ring up at all times, eventhough you will walk slower. You never know when a soldier will surprise you and come running out from behind a baracade or a doorway. |

Work your way back to the circular room. Find the stone ladder in the wall and climb to the top. Go back out the next room with the flaming baskets. Watch for soldiers hiding in the cave with the pit and the makeshift bridge. Cross the pit and start the climb up the steps. Duck for cover as more soldiers shoot from the top of the steps. Take them down. Walk up the steps, to the small doorway leading out to the ruins. Load your AK-47, run out and duck behind the nearest pillar. |

Peek out from behind the pillar and take down the soldiers shooting from overhead. If need be, run for cover to the perimeter of the ruins, so you don't have crossfire coming from several different directions. If you get a chance, sneak up behind a soldier and use a brutal combo attack to take him down (get practice). Elena runs ahead to the far right of the ruins. Follow Elena to the right and locate the jeep hidden under the palm leaves. |

[movie sequence] Nate and Elena uncover the Jeep and hop in. Nate hands Elena the map of the mysterious island, and explains that the Spanish must have moved the treasure when they felt the pending threat of invasion by Drake's fleet. Nate asks Elena to remember the co-ordinates UK2642. She is happy once again knowing that she finally may have a big story for her boss. |

Nate and Elena are flying over the South Pacific in Sully's pontoon plane. Elena is filming for her documentary. The map has lead them to this remote island. As they fly near the island, a surface missle hits the plane causing one of the engines to catch fire. It doesn't look good. The plane starts to lose control and they decide to escape the crash with dusty old parachutes. |

Elena goes first. Nate says there's nothin to it, eventhough it's obvious he's never done it himself. Elena grabs her camera and jumps out of the plane. Her parachute deploys and we guess she's ok. Nate grabs the other parachute while the plane tosses him around as it falls apart. He gets up enough nerve and finally jumps from the plane. He looks up and sees his parachute is torn. |

Nate falls to the ground hard and is saved by the wing of a large stone statue. After regaining his wits from the fall, he's frightened by the ominous looks of the statue staring straight at him. He releases the clips of his parachute and falls to the ground. He wonders if Elena made it down safely? CHAPTER ENDS. |
