After moving the church altar table, Sully drops through the hole in the floor. Nate follows. Down below is a labyrinth of rooms. The catacombs are a dark dingy area and require flashlights. There's nothing to find or dig through for the first couple of rooms. Work your way down the stairs through the rooms until you come to a room with a center stone column. Look behind the column and pick-up treasure 60/60 Golden Skull Rosary. Continue down the stairs to the bottom.

Walk down the last set of stairs and climb out the archway to the main cave. [movie sequence begins] Nate and Sully peer down into the main cave and see the El Dorado gold statue for the first time. "I'll be damned". Just as they're about to move, Roman's soldiers show up and surround them. Roman is in no mood for interruptions and tells them he'll be with them in a minute.

[movie continues] Roman wanders up to the famous gold relic and admires the workmanship and sheer size of the statue. It's magnificent! Navarro yells over to Roman and tells him the REAL treasure is inside.. OPEN IT! Roman being curious, looks for the latch and opens the statue. Inside is a mummy and the dusty plague curse that it has held secret for centuries. Roman succumbs to the effects of the dust.

[movie continues] Navarro has to shoot Roman who has turned into a possessed lunatic by the curse of the statue. Nate yells over to Navarro and warns him that he doesn't know what he's dealing with. The treasure is cursed! Navarro yells back and tells Nate he is the ONLY ONE who knows EXACTLY what this statue is worth. Can you imagine what someone will pay for this?

A cargo net drops down from a waiting chopper. Navarro's men tie-up the statue and start to hoist it out of the cave. There's a roar coming from the cave. Creatures start crawling down the pillars. Sully yells to Nate "What is that?" Nate yells back "Not what.. who! Sully? It's the Spanish.. They never left". We're going to have to stop them Sully! Gameplay returns. Nate & Sully disarm the guards and take their shotguns. Shoot from the hip for the next sequence.

Run down the left ramp shooting creatures as they jump out and block your way. Run across the open cave to the right (shooting more creatures) and find the stairs leading up to the landing. Use your aim [L1] and shoot the soldiers on the stairs as they try to stop you. Make your way to the landing before the statue rises up too far out of the cave. If you wait around or stand still for too long, you'll miss the opportunity and will have to start over again back by Sully.

If you've made it in time, the statue will be just passing Nate as he peers out over the landing. Jump to the statue. [movie sequence begins] Nate hangs onto the cargo netting as he and the El Dorado statue are lifted out of the cave. The chopper starts to speed away. Nate is discovered hanging onto the statue below by one of the soldiers in the chopper, and he starts to fire on Nate. Elena kicks the shooter out of the chopper. The random gunfire ricochet kills the pilot.

[movie continues] Navarro is now in a panic as the chopper starts to spin out of control. Nate is hanging on for dear life. Navarro tries to take control of the chopper and flies his way to the waiting cargo ship out at sea. As the chopper drifts over the ship, Nate jump to safety. The chopper crashes and skids on the deck at the stern. Elena is knocked unconscious but Navarro escapes. CHAPTER ENDS.
