[movie continues] We're safe in here for now. Elena can't fit all the pieces together. "Nate.. this just doesn't add up? Lazarevic isn't after this gemstone for the money. He doesn't need it! You must be missing something". Chloe insists they get moving "Come on. We haven't got all day". Chloe suggests that Elena and Jeff stay behind. Nate says "We'll be right back. Promise." Elena mutters to herself "Famous last words".

Don't go into the main temple yet. Stay in the foyer and look for a doorway on the right. Go through the door and look to the left. Look up. You'll see a veranda up top. Even though it's dark, you can climb the back wall. Climb the wooden beams from the broken staircase to the top [X]. Up top look for the sparkle and grab treasure 34/100 [Bronze Altar Spoon]. Safety drop back to the lower level and join Chloe.

Nate walks into the room with the large bronze Tibetan statue. It has 6 arms, each representing the elements of the earth. The room has a large reflecting pool in the middle, full of water. Through the glimmer of water, you can see the outlines of steps leading down to the bottom of the pool. The screen will prompt Nate to open and examine his field notebook [select]. Wait a minute! I've seen something like this before.

Looking at his field notes, Nate studies the 4 symbols of the movable arms. The other 2 hands are clasping the globe. The arm with the trident appears to be in the right position. First we have to change the position of the upper arm on the right with the shaker. Go to the right and look for the broken column (or the column that is about your height sheered in the middle). Climb to top of the column and face right. Grab the pole on the wall and shimy up to the second level.

Shimy left along the broken edges to the broken balcony [1]. Pull up to the broken balcony [2]. Safety drop on the other side and shimy to the left along the broken edges of the wall to the back. Lean back and grab the edge of the back balcony [3] Pull up. You don't need to go to the arm with the trident (eventhough the screen may prompt you). Jump to the side wall and climb the bricks [4]. Shimy left along the ceiling moldings [5] til you're right beside the upper arm.

Use your camera to make sure you're directly above the small broken platform. Safety drop to the platform. Walk up next to the hand of the upper arm. Reposition the hand by turning it [triangle]. The shaker should now be horizontal (matching his book). Nate yells down to Chloe and asks her if this looks right? Chloe says. "You're the one with the book!". Safety drop down to the platform below and shimy along the wall back to where you climbed the pipe.

This time continue on to the right to the other balcony section. Lean right and grab the floor. Pull up. Walk around to the front. The only way across is by using the poles sticking out from the wall. Swing across the poles along the wall til you reach the far balcony section. Walk along the left balcony back towards the statue. [cut scene] The balcony gives way and collapses to the floor carrying Nate with it. Luckily he's not hurt.

Luckily the collapsed floor is now a climbale ramp. Walk up to the platform by the lower arm [1]. Walk up to the hand. Reposition the hand and forearm so the ball of incense faces down [triangle]. Walk back along the wall and find the bricks. Climb the wall to the top [2]. Lean back and grab the horizontal pipe. Shimy along the pipe to the right to the end. Swing and jump to grab the ceiling moulding. Safety drop down to the ledge [3]. The screen prompts you [triangle].

[cut scene] Nate jumps across to the upper arm with the dagger in its hand. The force of his jump causes the arm to bend in towards the chest. When it stops, Nate falls to the ground at the base of the statue. As Chloe runs up to see if Nate is ok, the globe held by the other 2 hands of ths statue, splits apart in 2. A key slot in the statue's chest is exposed. It looks like the key has to be a 3-sided object. Could it be? Nate pulls out the Tibetan dagger to confirm.

Climb the statue til you reach the key slot. Wait for the screen prompt [triangle]. Insert the dagger into the triangular slot. [cut scene] Nate pushes the dagger blade all the way in. Using the handle, Nate then turns the first ring til it locks. He pushes in the ring. He then turns the 2nd outer ring til it locks. He then pushes the 2 rings in together. He then turns the final ring (all 3 together now) and locks it into place. THUD!

[cut scene] Down below, Nate watches as the water from the pool starts to drain away. Chloe is on it already and starts to walk down the steps as the water recedes. The water has now drained out from the pool and Chloe runs under the statue. She yells up to Nate, "I think we found it There's an open door down here!" When gameplay returns, walk down the steps to the bottom of the pool and meet up with Chloe.

It looks to be a little narrow, but Chloe is excited and ventures ahead down the ramp. Nate is not so thrilled and tries to calm himself and his claustrophobia as he gingerly walks down the narrow ramp. Half way down, he flicks on his searchlight. Chloe is already way ahead exploring. "Whew.. Glad that's over!" Walk down the passages exploring as you go. No treasures for awhile. Of course Nate tries to act romantic.

The passages are certainly creepy. You're expecting some rabid guardian animal to attack or some booby trap to happen as you go deeper into the tunnels, but nothing! Go down the steps to the lower tunnels. You're now in ankle deep water. Tread through the stream til you reach a room that splits into 2. Nate sees a carving of a tree in the stone wall. (What he doesn't notice is the Chintimani stone symbol on the trunk).

It doesn't matter which way you take. You'll end up in the same place at the other end. Look for the 2 plaster statues. The one on the right is broken. Climb up the base of the statue and pull up to the upper hallway. As Nate and Chloe walk down the impressive cathedral hall, you can't help but be mesmorized by the sparkling golden daggers and streams of light from the temple. As they walk closer, a floor trap gives way dropping them into a pit. The floor closes in on them.

As the floor slams shuts above them, the spikes in the floor above eject and lock in place. THIS IS NOW A DEATH TRAP! The floor starts to move down the walls. If you don't do something quickly, you'll die. When gameplay returns, look for the wall with the stone gears. Load your shotgun and shoot the gear teeth. If you shoot 3-4 gear teeth and break them [X], the mechanism will stop and recoil back. After the threat is over, look to another wall. There's a set of stairs leading out.

Don't leave just yet! (eventhough your first impulse is to get the hell outta there). Look aouund the pit for a sparkle. In one of the corners you'll see it. Pick-up treasure 35/100 [Bronze Varaha Statue]. Climb up the stairs.

Walk up the stairs and around til you reach the cathedral hall again. As Nate and Chloe walk closer to the temple, the giant dagger blades spread apart into 3 sections and lock into place, high above the entrance. [continued on chapter 9a].
