After solving the first Mayan calendar wheel, Lara is back on her bike. Drive down the path on the right. Accelerate and jump over the wooden log ramp across the first death pit. At the next pit, drive up along the left high ledge then drop down to the path to cross. Drive up to the steps of a small stone arch tunnel. Get off the bike. Go kick the vases [X] for a treasure. Get back on your motorbike. |

Drive down the next section til you reach an intersection. To the right, down the steps, is the courtyard to the Mayan temple. Get off your bike, walk down the steps and go inside the lower courtyard. Just to your right as you walk in [X], kick the vase for a treasure. There are 4 more treasures scattered inside the courtyard. The next time you're here, you'll be driving through at high speed. |

You can also drive your bike down into the courtyard. Get back on your bike and follow the path from the intersection, that goes through the cave tunnel on the left. There are 2 treasures along the way. Drive as far as you can go, jump across the death traps and get off your bike at the dead end. Turn on your flashlight. Climb up the stone wall and walk down through the dark wet tunnel. At the other end you'll face another stone ruin. |

Use your field binoculars [down]. You'll see 2 gunmen hunting down 2 stray panthers off in the distance. Run down the stairs and go for cover to the left or right. Load your assault rifle and look for a red target on the upper terrace. Gun him down.
If the panther's not dead, you can go up the steps to the upper terrace and shoot the panther. I actually used a sticky grenade on the panther from close range and blew him up. |

There's still another gunman down in the lower courtyard. Go back down the steps and flush him out on the left side. Gun him down. Grab the health potion on top of the center block. Pick-up the decorative pole. Scour the area for more breakable vases and health potion urns. One vase will have a treasure. Go back up the steps. There's still a loose panther. DROP THE POLE! Once you find him, strafe left and right and take him down. |

On the upper terrace, there MAY be another gunman hiding behind the short stone walls on the left. Keep your eyes open and gun him down. Pick-up the decorative pole and look for the lone column on the right with a pole ring insert. Walk up and stick the pole in the ring [triangle]. Grab the pole and climb up top [X]. Jump to the upper ledge and pull-up. Kick the vase up top for a treasure. Safety drop back down and pull-out the pole [triangle]. |

Take the pole with you and walk up the steps to the columns in front of the structure. Drop the pole by the last column on the left [X]. Go to the far left corner, kick the vase for a treasure. Pick-up the pole and insert it in the ring [X] on the first column. Grab the pole. Swing and pull-up on top of the pole. Jump up and grab the stone ledge. Jump up to the higher stone ledge. Shimy to the left. Lean left and jump across to the next column. |

Shimy around to the back of the column. Lean back and leap across to the rock outcrops on the wall [1]. Climb across the rocks til you reach the end [2]. Lean back and blind jump across to the column [3]. Lara will land on a cross beam between the 2 columns. Balance and walk half way across the beam. Turn and face the column on the right. Jump to the column. Shimy to the left and pull-up on top of the broken beam. |

From the broken beam [1] look left. Jump to the next beam. Drop down on the left side and shimy over to the other side of the column along the next broken beam [2]. Pull-up on top. Look right. Jump to the next broken beam [3]. Balance and walk to the wall. Jump and grab the ledge. Shimy to the right and drop down into the small courtyard. Find the vase on the left for another treasure. |

Go to the right side of the tall column. Jump to the first horizontal pole [1]. Pull-up on top of the pole and grab the higher pole [2]. Swing around the high pole and leap across to the horizontal bar [3]. Turn around on the bar and face the column. Pull up on the pole but don't stand up. Hang-on and jump to the face of the column. Wall jump backards and blind jump to grab the stone ledge [4]. Pull-up. |

Look across to the top of the column. Run jump and grab the edge of the column. Pull-up and kick the vase for a treasure. Run jump back across to the upper stone ledge. Go to the left. Find the gold ring in the floor. Ahead is a lower courtyard. Attach a grapple cable to the gold ring and repel down the face of the wall to the lower courtyard. Go to the hole in the stone wall for another treasure. |

Walk through the opening on the left to the back room. Climb up the stone platforms to the top of the stone wall. Kick the nearby vases for a treasure. Stay on the left side of the stone wall. Stand in clear view of the gold ring on the far side. Throw the grapple across the courtyard to the gold ring. KEEP THE CABLE ATTACHED and walk to the right til the cable bends around the stone block [X] on the column. Pull on the cable [triangle]. |

The force of pulling on the grapple cable, displodges the stone and it drops to the floor below. The force of the stone breaks the floor revealing a lower chamber. Safety drop back down the stone ledges to the lower courtyard. Walk out and find the broken section of the flooring. Safety drop down over the ledge and drop down one more ledge. Use [triangle] and hang-on to the ledge. Jump across to the stone pillar and slide down to the floor. |

The chamber is crawling with spiders. Load your pistols and be vigilent to look-out for little critters crawling out from the walls. Go to the back platfroms and grab the ceramic jaguar head. Now that you have the head, it's time to climb out. If you want the treasure in the alocve on the far wall, go to the broken pillar on the far right corner. Climb the pillar, balance up top and jump to the rock wall. Climb to the left and pull-up in the alcove. |

Getting out of the lower chamber is trickey. Find the broken pillar on the left. Climb the pillar and pull-up on top. Jump to the stone ledge on the back wall. Climb up and to the left along the stone ledges [1]. Shimy around the corner to the right. Jump down one ledge, lean right and jump to the rock wall. Climb the rock walls around the corner and out along the right wall [2]. Jump to the top broken pillar [3]. Slide down the pole and face backwards. |

Make a blind jump from the pillar to the rock wall at the front [4]. Climb the rock outcrops and leap up to the stone ledge [5]. Jump up to the next stone ledge, then pull-up to the courtyard floor. |

Go to the blocked entrance and climb up thru the gaps in the boulders. Crouch thru the hole back out into the courtyard of the ruins. WATCH OUT FOR MORE GUNMEN! Take cover behind the pillars. Load your rifle or machine guns and run out. Gun down the mercenaries as they confront you. Go down the steps. Gun down the mercenary in the lower area. Walk back thru the tunnel to your bike. |

Jump on your bike and drive down the path back to the intersection. Stright ahead is the entrance to the mayan temple. Go left. The path weaves to the left and right. There are 2 stray panthers that will try to pounce on you. Be aware that if you don't kill them now, they may follow you to the mayan building. Park by the hole on the right side of the building. Load your rifle and gun down the guards patrolling on the upper terrace and steps. |

Climb up the steps. The gate into the temple on the left is locked. There's a pole insert in the wall [2]. First go to the left by the door [1] and kick the vase for a treasure. Find the moveable stone block on the right side. Pull and push the block over to the wall below the slot [3]. Jump on the the block with the pole [4] and insert the decorative pole. Jump off the block and push it away from the wall (a little). Jump back up and grab the pole so you can fall between the wall and the stone. |

If you positioned the block correctly, Lara will pull the pole down the slot, to the ground. The door to the temple will open all the way. Drop down from the pole and run tumble into the room before the gate closes. Walk up to the calendar wheels. Insert the jaguar head into the back ring. Now go to the center mechanism, realign and turn the gear wheels so the dark tiles line-up to the lock point. |

[movie sequence] The calendar wheel locks into place and a loud thud thunders across the lower field. The left side of the field pulls back and 5 more columns rise up from the ground and pull back. A large Mayan statue rises from the back of the field and locks into place. The statue lights up in flame. The side columns all lift-up and lock in an upright position. The serpent heads all start to flame. The central walkway pulls apart revealing a ramp. |

The Mayan statue mechanism is on a timer!. When gameplay returns, run to the hole in the wall on the left and jump down to the ground below. Jump on your bike (hopefully it's turned around). Ride as fast as you can down the path all the way back to the intersection. Make a hard left and drive down the steps into the courtyard. Drive down the ramp before the last statue starts to collapse. if you make it.... a [cut scene] will start. |

Should you fail the timer run: There's a good chance you'll fail to get to the ramp in time, your first time. If you do, you have to go the first calendar wheel. Make sure your motorbike is turned around, ready to go. Crouch thru the hole and realign the wheels for a second time. Try and start Lara running right as the cut scene completes. Run tumble thru the hole in the wall and jump on your bike. Jump the pits and turn right at the intersection. You WILL make it! |

[cut scene] Lara drives down the ramp at high speed. She speeds down the hall and sees a death pit ahead. She drops the bike into a T-slide brake. The bike screeches to a stop just as she is about to tumble into the spear pit. The ramp behind her starts to
slam closed behind her. Lara gets of her bike and pulls out her video camera. |
