This level starts underwater from Coastal Ruins. Down the long passageway, Lara gets sucked in a current to enter the huge underwater cave.. Of course there is a hammerhead shark lurking around. NO.... It couldn't be just a simple swim to the pyramid.. Up top there is an air pocket with a ledge to take him out.

Staring at the pyramid facade, Lara notices there are 2 passageways, one on either side of the wooden door. Swim up both passages and use both Pharos artifacts. This will open the wooden door at the base of the pyramid where you can swim inside. The first room is with the 2 ram statues. Climb up the stairs, take out the skeleton that awakens, and drop in the back pool. Swim down and open all the doors in the underwater chamber. 2 are empty. The 3rd door leads to another hall. Climb out and face the attacking golden bird. Shoot all the benches.

Up the stairs to the left, enter the pillared hall with the Cleopatra statue. On either side, are shortened columns with scarab beetle artifacts. Once you pry them loose with the crowbar, our little friends the silver beetles come pouring out the orifices. Oh Joy!!.. Needless to say you have to work fast once you have the artifacts. Run to the raised blocks on either side of the room climb up and press the wall tile on both sides of the room. The beetles will follow you and nip at your heels. Use a med-pack. A trap door opens in the center of the room. Climb down the ladder.

If you hang onto the ladder then pull-up then back down again, the beetles have all dropped to the floor below,
leaving it safe for the moment. Drop down to the floor and run across to the inclined block. Jump and pull up on the inclined face then quickly back-flip to the ledge. Push the wall tile which open the door back out to the main hall with the 3 staircases. Don't forget the winding key on the pedestal. Make your way back across the floor, up the 2 ladders, then out the pillared hall to the main hall. An awkened skeletion is there to greet you. Go up the west stairs.

The pyramid room is a little nasty so save your game after each water slide ramp adventure. The object is to get 4 bettle artifacts placed on the center blue and silver pyramid. In this photo, Lara has placed one already, revealing an inner chamber to the pyramid. Each water slide has a channel of oilwater at the bottom. Run across as fast as you can before the oil pool lights. At the end are beetle artifacts. Once you use the crowbar,use the ledge to runjump to the opening, that now has stairs. Return to the pyramid and insert the beetles. Broken ones are useless.

The 4th beetle is down the south stairs in Cleopatra's Palace. Work your way up and around to the slide ramp on the second floor. The beetle is down the channel to the left. You have to execute a perfect sideways standing jump to climb the stairs from the oil pit once you have the artifact. Return back to the pyramid and insert the final beetle. The pyramid center now hovers on a energy beam. On the platform, in the eneregy stream, is a mechanical beetle artifact to grab. Return to Cleopatra's Palace. Level ends.
