This is the final level before you meet Horus. Be prepared to get contested with everything that the game has thrown at you so far. You'll need lots of ammo and SAVE GAME often. The malitia ninja guards carrying the knives go down well with the poison arrows. The nice thing about this, is you can shoot them from a distance without any fear of being injured.

As you enter the hallway, you need to jump across a deep chasm first. Go down the hall, take out the armed guard then the ninja that jumps out from behind you. Don't bother going down the long hall to the left. It leads to a closed gate. Instead, go right, take out the armed guard on the left, enter the long room up on the right. The gate will close behind you. A ninja will come down the ramp. Peg him with poison arrows. Down the hall are 2 very fast moving blocks. Position Lara against the left wall, and just as the block recedes, do a standing jump. Repeat again.

You're now inside the back room with the marble basin, 3 dogs greet you. Take em down then go around the back and go inside the basin. Grab the wooden torch. From one of the lit wall torches, light Lara's torch and proceed to light all the torches in the room. This open the block wall to the west. In there is a lever which open the block wall in the previous ramped hallway up top. Peg 3 more dogs. Dodge the moving wall blocks again and climb up top to the star chamber. As you enter, Lara does a screen cam pan of the room. Note the star in the middle of the floor.

As Lara places a shaft key in each one of the 4 wall receptacles, you hear an electrical burst and a shaft of light streams in from above, lighting the floor star (very cool visual effect). After placing the final shaft key in the wall, there's an explosion and the star in the floor disappears leaving an open shaft to the room below. Pull the lever on the back wall, which opens the gate near the start of the level and releases 2 more militia guards. Shoot them as they climb up the ramp and return to the room with the torches and basin.

Inside, the marble basin has been shattered and the blocks lie scattered around the floor (some smouldering).
Off to the east, the block wall has opened. Pull the lever and grab the med-pack. This opens the gate at the very end of the long shaft to the left that we didn't go down near the start of the level. Be carfeul when jumping over the pits. Because of the angle of the ramp, Lara needs to be well back from the edge before leaping or she overshoots the platform and falls down the pit.

Take out another guard and more bats as you work down to the open gate at the end of the ramped hall. Inside the last room with the shaft of blue light, climb down the shaft. Down the shaft about halfway, on the west side, is an opening. Walk down the tunnel opening in the shaft. LEVEL ENDS.
