This is the 2nd area of the temple ruins inside Karnak. This is a more open area with 3 chambers and not all that difficult. There are a few challenging puzzles, but nothing as complex as the last level. I imagine this geographical area was just too big to fit into one gameplay memory block.

The open area has no suprises other than a few lurking scorpions and a new assassin. This guy needs 2-3 good shotgun blasts to get him There are goodies behind the pillars along the north wall. To the south there is a large room with closely constructed pillars. Work your way to the end of the hall, where it is dimly lit. There is a block to jump up to the second level. Up on the second level, there are more rewards in the corners and ledges, which you may need flares to find. And of course, local scorpions. To the right of the hall, go down a series of sand alleys.

Here is where you meet your maker. Save your game first. You have to execute the absolute perfect jump to get across this pit. If you fail, you die, simple. Line up with the left wall. Walk forward until you can go no further. Jump back then run-jump straight across to hang onto the ledge. After you have made the leap, the next room is tame so hunt around for stuff and then proceed through the dooorway on the right and scour the floor for more goodies. Once you go down the ramp the level ends. Yawn !! (this was too easy) We'll be back.
