The first thing you notice about these levels in Cairo as you get further and further into the game... the weather is getting worse. Now you see lightning and hear thunder. People seem to be dying all over the place. The curse of Seth is starting to materialize. You can sense that armageddon is not too far away.

The opening movie sequence is in a garage. There's a taxi in the corner. Maybe we'll get to use that... Hmm.. One of Azizis's men is wounded on the ramp. He hands you the mine detonator and explains that you need the codes to make the detonator work. Behind the taxi is a car jack and on one of the tables is a handle. Push the switch in the wall opening the 2 doors. The smaller door leads to a hall and then to another door which Lara can push through. Take care of 2 guards outside. Out the arch to the left is a mine field in the Citadel level which you cannot cross.

Through the large door is a small hall with a wall ladder. Go through the crawlspace first get the med-pack. Climb the ladder and jump up to monkey bar over to the ledge. Turn right and climb through to the room with the grate. Combine the car-jack with the handle and place on the far wall. This will pop the overhead grate giving you access to the roof. Up top, avoid the lightning rod machanism and go to the left. A swarm of golden locusts will visit but they do subside. Move the boxes and pull/push the hopper mechanism onto the lightning rod pad.

The cut scene shows the lightning pad sinking and a bolt of lightning taking out a section of the roof tressle bridge
just ahead (that's just plain nasty to do that). Cross the bridge, then jump to the far wall ladder. Climb laterally left until you reach the ledge. If you jump left from there to the little alley, there's a couple of secrets in the back. A swarm of locusts will follow you but they do abate. Climb the right step and safety drop then jump down to the very bottom. You'll lose almost all your health on the way down, so top up with a large med-pack first before going down.

Before you enter the room, go down to the right and retrieve the mine position data disk for the detonator. Guess who's back? The bull.. This time he has you pinned in a room. The object, to get the bull to charge the boxes which opens a passage to the upper balcony. Be patient with the bull. From the ledge with the boxes jump down, wait for him to charge then side jump out of his way. He plows into the boxes. Run up stairs, kill the soldier, then go through the door under the streaming sunlight and slide down the ramp. Return to Trenches.

In Trenches, return to where you left the motorbike and enter Street Bazaar to the garage. Go through the small door and enter the courtyard. Go through the arch on the left. Combine the detonator with the codes. Stand in front of the lit portion of the baracade and use the detonator. Poof. There goes the mine field. It is now safe to cross.Push the big red button on the far wall, which opens a door on the left. Woohoo! You can see your motorcycle. Hop on and ride over the big hill to the south. Re-enter Citadel Gate but now on a supercharged bike. Right from the start go in nitro-sprint mode and jump the big pit hugging to the left. Run over 2 crocodiles and work your way back past the dragon to the start of the level where Azisis was wounded. The movie sequence here shows Azizis getting in the munitions truck and blowing up the dragon in a suicide mission, with the detonator. LEVEL ENDS. Enter the Citadel doors where the dragon was before.
