This is the start of 2 training levels where you learn and brush-up on the basics of maneuvering. Many of the moves are the same as the other TombRaider games, but there a few new moves, and of course you have a trainer this time to coach you and discipline you... namely Lara's mentor, "Vernor". He seems a little strict.

The first series of jumps are not difficult. There are golden skulls that are off the beaten track that you can collect as secrets. Don't listen to Vernor all the time. Explore each room and let him wait for you. I found some skulls in the small reflecting water pools. There are med-packs and flares as well, hidden in various water pools. Try to explore every corner or turn in a passageway, before Vernor starts running off to the next training course.

In the room with the 2 waterfalls and 3 ledges, you can jump down and explore more smaller reflecting pools. Vernor will wait up top. There is a ramp to the left to get back up to the platform area to continue your training. In the next series of rooms, you can swim through passageways in big pools. Watch your oxygen-bar (upper right). This tells you your consumption of air supply as you swim. Once you surface, the bar will gradually return to full-strength with no adverse affect on your health.

There are goodies scattered about. In the upper area watch out for the 2 wild boars. They won't kill you, but they do chase after you and bite you. Each bite takes a little piece from your health. Stand back and let Vernor take care of them with his knife. If you are still above 1/2 health, a small med-pack will restore you. Using the dangling rope is all timing and getting the "hang" of how to swing. Once you master the final exercise, throw the switch on the upper ledge and the level ends.
