[movie sequence continues] Amanda begs Lara not to use the sword in the stone portal, but Lara starts to walk towards the dais. Amanda says STOP! Lara says they can do this together. Amanda refuses to believe Lara and in frustration, pulls the pendant from her neck. Amanda (in a rage) morphs into a huge spirit entity. This is not good!

The final battle. Lara only has 1 weapon, Excalibur. Hybrid Amanda will never land on the platform. She is always hovering around between the columns and out over the open canyon. Use the lock-on target all the time constantly tapping down L1 to keep it on her. Swipe at her with Excalibur when you see red. Try multiple swipes if you can. Once you have her paralyzed, she drops to the ground. Run up and [triangle] stab her.

She will rise up from the ground again, but weakened. Attack her again and again with Excalibur, dodging her energy flames, or ducking behind the stone columns. Paralyze her 2 more times and [triangle] stab her. The entity part of her vaporizes leaving just Amanda, unconscious on the ground.

[epilogue sequence begins] Lara kneels beside Amanda and grabs her pendant from the ground (just in case). She pulls out Excalibur and walks to the stone dais. She takes a deep breath and a moment of hesitation, then slides Excalibur into the slot. The 4 columns and stone floor light-up in a green neon. She pulls out a notebook.

These notes were taken as a child, when she saw her mother disappear. She recalls the symbols and touches the nearby columns. They expand and contract with her touch. Ok... All is set. She studies the pictures then the columns very intently. When she thinks everything is perfect, she nudges the sword into the dais. The portal ring swings up and the looking glass turns misty.

For a few brief seconds, Lara sees her mother in the portal. She yells to her mother but her mother doesn't recognize her at first. She then says Lara? Her mother pleads to some unknown person. At this point, Amanda awakens. She pleads with Lara to PULL OUT THE SWORD! Lara doesn't listen. She leaps for cover as the portal explodes..

Amanda is now cursing and swearing at Lara for being such an idiot. It was her only chance to go to Avalon. Lara's had enough and has lost her patience. She walks over to Amanda with pistols drawn and accuses Amanda of killing her mother. Amanda explains to Lara that Avalon DOES really exist. Lara backs off but then knocks her unconscious, in disgust.

Lara... bewidered and confused by all that just happened, picks up Excalibur and starts to walk off the terrace. She tells Zip and Allister to contact the British Museum and set an appointment with Concord Laboratories. it's going to be a long meeting. Dress in layers!...... GAME ENDS.
