In the movie sequence, our Russian Mafioso friend grabs the Spear from Lara, and not knowing the extent of its power, causes a damaging explosion. The wolf submarine starts taking on water. This is not good!

You can hear the "abandon ship" horn all the time you play this level. Very un-nerving. There is nothing to get in any of the dive rooms. One is already blown up. Go down the ladder to the torpedo room. As you approach the end, a sailor starts firing. Take him down and grab the ammo. Down the left, the hall leads to a dead-end. Continue to the right and up another ladder to the level with the kitchen and mess hall. Another sniper comes from around the corner and ambushes you from behind.

In this hallway, there is a corridor on fire to the right. If you continue straight through, there is another set of halls down to the left, but nothing down there. Jump the flame and enter the storage room on the left. There are Uzis on the shelves. The vents up top are blocked, so no point climbing the crate. Return to the flaming hall, and jump to the left avoiding the flame in the grate. As you enter the mess hall, a movie sequence shows the live electrical wires, touching the water. Not good!

Avoid the water here. Do a series of standing jumps from table to table then across to the table in front of the open hatch by the dangling live electrical wires. Avoid bumping Lara's head on the overhead ducts and watch your health. There is nothing in the kitchen or in the washroom. From the middle of the last table, face the hatchway, and from the middle of the table, do a standing jump to safety.

To the right is a storage room. Take out the sniper as you approach. He drops the swipe card. Search the shelves, grab the small med-pack and return to the mess hall. Work across the tables (avoid the overhead ducts), jump over the flaming hallway and go to the right. [Use] the swipe card. Go down the hall. Climb the ladder to the upper deck. The room behind the dangling wires is locked, but we'll be back. Go past the 1st control room with the live wires into the safer 2nd control room.

There's nothing in the periscope control room, but if you look around, there is a couple of vent shafts high above. One appears to be loose. At the back of the control room is a pressure hatch and turn wheel. Inside, a movie sequence explains the Admiral's situation. He hands Lara the key to the Stateroom. The ladder, goes up to one of the escape pods, but there are 2 empty wall receptacles. You need some goodies to activate it. Go back into the control room and climb on the far table.
Draw pistols. While jumping in the air, shoot out the vent cover. Now jump and grab the ledge. Pull up and crawl down the vent shaft to the right. At the end, is another grate cover. Pull up on the handle and drop to the store room below. There is nothing on the shelves. On the wall, is a high switch that controls the electrical power. Jump and pull the switch. Everything goes dark. Now, all the rooms with dangling live wires, are safe to pass. Return to the periscope control room and drop down.

Walk out the persicope control room. At the hallway turn left, then immediately right to the other control room. On the floor, under water, there's a med pack, ammo, and a Desert Eagle gun. On top of one of the consoles at the back of the room, is a Nitrogen tank. Now return to the hallway to the other end and down another short hall that had live dangling wires. Using the key that the Admiral gave you, open the door to the Stateroom.
In the Stateroom, are 2 sets of cabinets at each end. Inside the cabinets are ammo, a large med-pack and the Oxygen Tank. As you leave the room, 2 snipers approach. Take out the shotgun or Desert Eagle and make quick work of them. Now return to the back of the periscope control room, where the Admiral is dying, and climb the ladder to the escape pod. Install the Nitrogen tank in the wall cavity. This opens a glass door on the opposite wall. In that wall cavity, place the Oxygen tank.

In the following movie sequence, Lara pleads with the Admiral to come with her, but he insists on going down with his ship. Lara returns to the escape pod, and propels herself to the surface, where she is rescued, as the sub explodes beneath her. LEVEL ENDS and MISSION ENDS...
