After walking down the halls, at the bottom of the Tomb Of Ancients, we arrive at the Grand Hall Of Seaons. This is a large circular room, with a domed cathedral ceiling. Coming in the entrance, we pass 4 crystal receptacles with paintings. Each painting represents the four main physical elements Water - Earth - Wind - Fire. In the very center of the room in the floor, are 4 pie-shaped blocks mounted on spring plates. Walk on one block and 3 doors open behind you, along the perimeter. |

Lurking around the hall at all times, is a relentless skeleton warrior. He cannot be killed, but can be disabled for a short period. As he approaches, fire 5-6 shots at close range, with the shotgun. This should knock him down and stun him for about 30 seconds. In most cases, this is more than enough time, to walk to the center blocks, activate a set of perimeter doors, and allow Lara to read the overhead door signs and hallway signs. Watch for him. |

Make sure Lara is going down the right hallway. Each hall is sectioned off by cage doors with spikes. Each hallway has a lever in the corner. The key is the overhead sign post. Match the right symbol or you'll get the trapdoors to the basement chamber. We don't want to go there yet. You can make it back up alive, but after alot of duress and certain injury. Pull the correct lever, and the center hallway door opens along with the cage doors. Go through to the element chamber. |

After each successful mission from the elemental challenges, Lara returms to the Hall Of Seasons. Our friend, the skeleton warrior, will need to be subdued again. Run across to the entrance hall with the 4 paintings. Find the right element, and insert the crystal [action] into the recpetacle. This will activate a set of release bars. Retrieve all 4 crystals, and all bars will be released. But it won't find you a way out just yet. It will release a set of locked doors down in the power chamber. |

It doesn't matter in which order you carry-out the elemental missions. It's more important to SAVE YOUR GAME after each mission, so you know where you are. Lara can't return to an elemental chamber, once that crystal has been retrieved. Not that you would want to anyway? There are no health or weapon pick-ups anywhere in the hall, so don't bother looking around the pillars or ledges. We'll be back to explore later. PICK AN ELEMENT! |
