Proto-Nephilim


Proto Nephilim 2 Kurtis enters the huge chamber where they had the ultimate containment cage (or so we thought). This is where Boaz was keeping a watchful eye on the Proto-Nephilim, before the power went out and it escaped. What a set-up. The screen camera goes passive here, so be careful. Engage [walk] for insurance. Walk down the catwalk, to the steel ladder. Climb up the ladder to the second level catwalk. Walk around to the observation booth and then to the catwalk leading to the cage.

Proto Nephilim 3 Nothing to pick up or open. Jump up to the roof of the containment cage. The camera is still passive here, so watch where you are. Walk to the edge opposite the collpased section of catwalk. Jump to the 3rd level catwalk. Walk all the way around to the vent shaft. Crawl into the vent shaft up the wall. The vent shafts are a maze.

Proto Nephilim 4 There are several sections to crawl through. At one point, Kurtis has to drop down through several shafts and then continue crawling again. Eventually, Kurtis ends up in a round fan ventilation shaft. Climb the ladder through the opening to the security locker room up top. The 2 security guards are dead, but one has a Sanitarium Mid Access Pass that we need. Over by the lockers, there's a medpack. Press the pad to release the exit door.

Proto Nephilim 1 Kurtis is now back inside the research area where we were a few moments ago. There are no mutants hanging around, but keep your gun out, just in case. Around to the left, is a card swipe and a steel door. Open the door with the access pass and walk down the stairs. A cut-away action sequence begins. Kurtis and the Proto-Nephilim creature are now in close quarters and about to meet head-on.

Proto Nephilim 5 Kurtis closes the overhead door with his telekinetic powers before the creature has a chance to pounce. The Proto-Nephilim climbs the ventilation ducts and then drops to the floor of the power control room. Ok. Time for battle. As soon as the creature drops to the floor, start shooting. 10-15 shots at mid range will injure it. It falls over, but IT'S NOT DEAD YET! The creature gets up and runs away to the vent shafts. This would be a good time to retore your health if needed.

Proto Nephilim 6 The Proto-Nephilim returns from the catwalks and drops to the floor again. Like before, fire away. 10-15 more shots and it keels over again. IT'S STILL NOT DEAD! Kurtis has to repeat this 3-4 times, and eventually the creature is severly injured. An action sequence show Kurtis dealing the final blow, stabbing the creature with his Periapt Shard. Go to the end of the room and pull the huge lever on the control box. LEVEL ENDS. **woohoo**

A Message

Proto Nephilim 7 Long movie sequence begins. Kurtis returns to the airlock and as he enters, gets ambushed by Lara. Lara returns the favor and frisks Kurtis at gunpoint. Ahh true love? Kurtis explains everything about his relatives and their long involvement with the Lux Veritatis. He also explains the Peript Shards and how if they get all 3, they can kill Eckhardt, once and for all.

Proto Nephilim 8 Kurtis knows that the 3rd shard is kept in Eckhardt's secret labs somewhere under the Strahov. Lara says she can go get the 5th Obscura painting down in the Lux Veritatis Vault of Trophies, while Kurtis gets the final shard. She shows Kurtis the map she got from the Catacombs under the Louvre. Lara says she can handle the adventure, no problem!

Proto Nephilim 9 Meanwhile, Eckhardt and Johannson have a different idea. They are both well aware of Lara and Kurtis. Eckhardt is very frustrated not being able to get into the Vault Of Trophies so far, but likes the idea of Lara doing his work for him. They are not worried about any chance of Lara destroying the painting. Eckhardt senses a sweet victory soon, and starts to laugh.
