As Lara enters Rennes Pawnshop, she sees a man coming down the hallway with a blank look on his face. This is Eckhardt and he's an evil man. He bumps right into Lara, un-phased by anything around him and walks out. Lara walks into the pawnshop, and lays the passports down on the counter. Rennes is nowhere to be found and the shop has been vandalized. |

Lara goes into the back room of the pawnshop. Rennes is dead sprawled across the floor. His wallet is lying next to him on the floor. Pick it up. There's a strange symbol splashed in blood, on the wooden floor. I think we can suspect that Eckhardt had something to do with this murder and he is part of the secret cult to get the 5 Obscura paintings together again. Rennes must have known too much or had something in his possession that Eckhardt wanted but couldn't find? |

As Lara explores the storage room, there's a computer monitor turned on, a couple of old bookcases (but no goodies), and behind the books there's a bomb with a timer detonator on a chair. It doesn't seem to be active, but on standy, waiting for something to trip an alarm. On the far side of the room, there's a trap door in the floor. Against the wall, there's a number pad next to a locked vault door. Look inside Rennes wallet. There's a scrap piece of paper inside. The code to the door is 14529. |

Once you punch-in the number sequence correctly into the keypad, the vault will unlock and the door opens automatically. Inside are a whole bunch of goodies. There's a map of the sewers under the Louvre Art Gallery. A map of the archaelological dig under the Louvre, a K2 Impactor Tazer, 4 x SS stun darts and explosives. As Lara picks up the last piece, the laser detectors pick you up as an intruder, an alarm sounds inside the vault, and the bomb activates, starting a countdown timer. |

Hit the red kill switch on the wall. This will decativate the alarm inside the vault, and re-opens the door. Run out the door to the right as soon as you can and open the trap-door in the floor. Drop down through the floor to the lower hallway. Run like mad!! The bomb explodes, setting everything on fire. Jump through the hole in the floor, then run out the drainpipe as fast as you can. LEVEL ENDS. |

LONG MOVIE SEQUENCE BEGINS: The force of the explosion catapults Lara out of the drainpipe, head-first onto a boat, out in the canal. Our new friend Kurtis Trent, is watching everything from a walkway on the other side of the canal. He disappears into Paris somewhere. |

We then turn to Eckhardt and a secret meeting of the Cabal Society. Eckhardt explains to the loyal group, his progress so far, and the fact that 4 paintings have now been recovered. Everyone is to meet in Prague where they suspect they will find the 5th painting, and then to awaken THE SLEEPER. This cannot be good? Eckhardt's personal bodygurd (goon) Gustafson, is dispatched to the Louvre. |
