After standing on the water symbol in the Hall Of Ancients, and going through the correct hallway, we are inside the first corridor of Neptune's Hall. |
As you may have gathered, this involves alot of swimming. We encounter a new skeleton warrior. This one has a flaming sword and throws fireballs. Nasty guy! If you time it right, draw your shotgun, and fire a few shots at him from across the big hole in the floor. If he's angry, he'll run right at you, but jump down into the pool by mistake, and disappear? |
Once the coast is clear, or if you don't want to fight the warrior, grab the bandages in the corner and run into the hall, with the running fountain by the wall. Jump down through the metal grate into the water. Dive down through the holes into a large underwater cathedral chamber. There is a small room at one end with a lever inside. As you approach, a set of 3 swinging blades cycles in and out, blocking the entrance. Time your swim between the blades, and pull the lever. Swim back to the fountain. |
Climb out of the water and walk back out into the main balcony foyer with the big hole in the middle. Look down! Way down! Ok. Be brave and jump down through the hole into the water chamber below. Lara will start to scream on the way down, (it's a really long way) but splashes safely in the water. Make sure Lara's health is at full strength. Go ahead and swim all you want, but there are NO goodies anywhere. |
Look around the perimeter of this domed cathedral for open doorways. Swim to an open door and climb out. Go into the back hallways. There are medpacks and ammo inside 2 hallways. The 3rd hallway leads to a square underwater tunnel. Jump in and swim down to the bottom then go right. You'll pass a series of pillars and gates on the left. Grab the large medpack on the way. WATCH YOUR AIR. Continue on and down another square tunnel. Quickly look behind for a hole in a metal grate. |
Swim through the hole in the grate and up another square opening into an air pocket. Swim up and catch your breath. SAVE GAME. Swim down again through the grate and hold still. Watch the cycling spears up ahead. There are 3 sets of spears impeding your way. You have to somehow get by all three while you still have air? Go back to the air pocket, collect your nerves and then go for it. Swim as high as you can to avoid the first spears. Swim to the left to avoid the next, and then go for broke. |
If you've survived (after several attempts), swim down the square tunnel to the right and up into another air pocket. SAVE GAME AGAIN. You don't want to go past those spears again? Swim down the tunnel all the way to a deep underwater abyss. Lying on the middle pedestal below, is the water crystal. Grab the crystal. Look up. The domed cage is now open. Swim up all the way to the surface. We are now back in the main cathedral again. Hmmm... How do we get out? Catch your breath and dive again. |
Swim down past the top of the pillar where the crystal was. On the side of the pillar half-way down, is a lever. Pull that lever. A cut-away sequence shows a door opening, in the main cathedral. Swim back up to the surface. Catch your breath again. Rotate Lara while treading water, and look for the new door that opened. When you see it ahead, dive down and swim through the doorway. We are now back in the small cathedral with the swinging blades where we pulled the first lever. |
Swim up through the hole in the ceiling again and up to the grate by the water fountain. Pull up out of the water. It doesn't matter at this point, whether you've dealt with the flaming skeleton soldier or not, just walk out to the exit. LEVEL ENDS. Go back into the Hall Of Seasons, and place the water crystal in the receptacle, below the correct painting. |
