After walking through the ventilation ducts from the rooftops of the art gallery, Lara drops into a storage room. We are now in the office administration wing. |
This is the research, restoration and security section of the art gallery. There are no goodies hidden on the shelves anywhere. As Lara opens the door, a security guard walks by and is alarmed by seeing Lara. You're close enough to punch and kick him or draw your K2 impactor and take him down. At one end is a locked door with a security card swipe. You don't have the proper security pass just yet. |
Down the hallway are 2 doors on the right. The first door goes into an artifact restoration workshop and computer room. There's doesn't look to be anything to pick up in either room. There is something interesting in the computer room. Inside the cabinet are a number of goodies, but we can't get in the cabinet? No idea what's inside. For now, leave the room and remember where the cabinet is. Go down the hallway and into the next room on the right. |
This is an office area and a security control room in the back. Draw any gun BUT NOT the K2 Impactor. Don't risk using anything electrical around computer equipment. There's a security guard working in the back room. Walk towards the security control room. The doors will automatically slide open. Cool! Take down the guard at close range. There are 3 active computers on the table. Each one controls the view of a remote security camera. Use the computer on the left and look in the monitor. |
We are now looking inside an office. It just happens to be Margot Carvier's research office. Use the left and right joysticks to control the camera angle and zoom. If you zoom in on Margot's PC on her desk, there's a note pinned to it. There's a 5-digit security code for entry to her office 14639. The other 2 computers control other cameras, but nothing of any interest. Go out the security office and go right to the end of the hall. Punch the security code into the keypad. Enter Margot's office. |
There are many bookcases and cabinets to look through. Go through all the cabinets on the right, first. Now go to Carvier's desk. In the right drawer, is Carvier's High Security Pass. If you look at her PC monitor, you'll get more information on Brother Obscura and his life's work to disguise the paintings and to create and protect duplicate engravings. There is alot to absorb. make sure you take in all the information. Lara's notebook will be updated. |
As you walk past the fireplace and around to the drafting table, you will get a few more history lessons about the origin of the 5 Obscura paintings, and the role of the Lux Veritatis, the anicent order of Alchemists. Ok. Enough small talk. Go out the office and down to the other end of the hall. Use Carvier's security pass to open the exit door. |
Walk down the 3 flights of stairs and then down the hall. Keep a weapon armed. Go through the doors on the right. As you enter the exhibit gallery, another security guard is alerted and tries to stop you. Take him down with the K2 impactor. Go to the end of the gallery and use the security pass to open the doors. Exit into the second gallery. We have been here before. Go past the statue on the right, and use the security pass to open the access door to the archaelogical dig site. |
Walk down more flights of stairs. There's a small gallery off to the right on one of the landings. Take down the security guard inside the room. No goodies unfortunately. Continue down the stairs and then through the doors at the bottom. We are now deep inside the basement underenath the Louvre. Go down the lit hall and then down the steps to a makeshift room with floodlights and computers. The floor is only dirt here. The blue metal doors lead to the archealogical dig site. LEVEL ENDS. |
