Tomb Raider 6

Parisian Ghetto

Lara wakes up on the floor of a deserted subway car. After exploring the car for any goodies, but coming up empty, Lara jumps out and starts down the abandoned tracks. In a nearby tunnel, 2 homeless people huddle around a fire.

Parisian Ghetto 1 The one homeless man doesn't have much to say, but mentions all the murders in town and how it's not safe. He knows nothing about Bernard or Bouchard. These were names that Von Croy had written in his notebook. He asks for change, but Lara has none to give. So back to the subway car. Climb the pipe beside the car and jump to the ledge. Pull-up to the roof of the subway car. Up ahead, there's a mesh fence and under the pipe, on the far side, is a large med-pack. Crawl under the pipe first.

Parisina Ghetto 2 Lara has the ability to climb mesh fence like a ladder. Climb the mesh to the upper catwalk. Before jumping through the hole in the fence on the far left, face the far platform. Run-jump and [action] to grab the edge. Pull-up onto the platform. With [walk] engaged, jump to the far ledge in the wall. Pull up and walk along the narrow ledge, through the break in the fence. Grab the money and chocolate bar. Back track on the ledge, then jump to the platform, then run-jump to the second platform.

Talk to the man on the left. Unfortunately, he seems to be more interested in being your pimp, then giving you any useful information. He does talk about the Cafe Metro and Seprent Rouge Club and the gruesome killings of the staff. It sounds terrible. We know this is probably going to get alot worse. Lara's notebook is updated with this information. Before going through the door into the streets, walk around to the right and down the stairs. Grab the money by the door.

Parisina Ghetto 3 Out in the streets, we meet the local neighbourhood hooker. She has alot to say about Bouchard and all the things going on at the Serpent Rouge Club. She doesn't seem to be too alarmed and does give Lara some leads on how to get to Bouchard. She mentions Bernard at the abandoned Metro station and Rennes the Pawnbroker. Janice is her real name. Lara's notebook is updated.

Parisina Ghetto 4 This is a big level, so it would be a good idea to SAVE GAME often. Along the way, there are maps and street signs showing directions to the major points of interest (all the places you have to visit), and where you are standing. First stop is to Rennes Pawnbroker shop. We'll need to exchange some of the jewellry and valuables we have collected, for hard cash, to make some bribes with people. Walk down Cours la Seine to the left. The pawnbroker's shop is the last door on the right past the stairs.

Parisina Ghetto 5 Rennes shop is full of junk. Walk up to the counter and talk. After all the formalities, tell him you wish to sell. The game will flip to your items list and menu. Sell everything that comes up on that list. You can only sell things you don't need. Get rid of everything. Every time you sell an item, your cash counter in the upper left of the screen will increase. You'll need lots of money, so don't get too sentimental for a ring or necklace. When you're done, leave the shop and go up the stairs.

Parisina Ghetto 6 Because the space to cover in this level is so large, the game software will load for every quadrant of the ghetto. You can go back and forth as many times as you like, but the game will reload every time you travel to that quandrant. At the top of the stairs, there is a small park with benches. There's money on the ground in the corner, by the flower bed. Up the street, past the courtyard, Cafe Metro is off to the left. Rue Dominique to the right, leads to the church and Metro station. Go right.

Parisina Ghetto 7 In the courtyard, against the farthest wall away from the map, there's more money on the ground. Walk down Rue Dominique through the arch. The game will reload. The abandoned Metro Station is on the right. On the left side of Rue Dominique, you can see a big bodyguard behind a steel door. He's not very co-operative right now. Best leave him alone. We'll visist the chuch later on, so for now, enter the subway station through the wrought iron gate. Walk to the back park area. Approach the man.

Parisina Ghetto 8 This is Bernard. He is very reluctant to talk to anyone. He is definitely not in the mood for idle chat, but then starts to come around when he discovers that Janice of all people, gave Lara his name. He is upset, but decides to give Lara some new information about the Serpent Rouge Club. Lara cuts a deal to find Bernard's trinket box but has to pay $600 to get his ex-janitor's key to the Serpent Rouge Club.

Parisina Ghetto 9 Once you're done with Bernard, leave the station and go right at the street. Down the hill on the left, is the Willowtree Herbalist. Go inside his shop. There's nothing to search or find in the store. Go up and talk to the owner. He doesn't give much information other than the bodyguard (ex-club doorman at the Serpent Rouge). Getting by him will need a password. Bernard can give us that, once he has his box?

Parisina Ghetto 10 Lara's notebook is updated again. Back-track along Rue Dominique to the Cafe Metro. Inside the Cafe Metro, there's a bartender named Pierre, the one Janice was talking about. When he talks, he doesn't acknowledge that you've talked to Janice and treats you like a regular customer. Because you've talked to Bernard already, and cut a deal for the box, the bartender has nothing more to say. Look at the guy sitting at the table in the corner. This is Kurtis Trent.

Lara has several choices from here. We can go inside St. Aicard's Church first and look around; we can return to Cours la Seine to the street manhole covers, down into the tunnels of Bouchard's Hideout; or we can go back, near to where Janice is standing, and go inside the Serpent Rouge Club through the garage. We'll have to visit all 3 before we can access the graveyard beside St. Aicard's Church.
