After finishing the Vault Of Trophies, Lara surfaces from a long swim. She's congratulated by Eckhardt for getting the final Obscura Painting for him. He had been trying for months to get into that vault. There is one small problem though. Eckhardt and Gunderson have captured Kurtis, and they want the painting in exchange for his life. So it's decision time. |

Do we keep the 5th Obscura Painting and prevent Eckhardt from completing his horrific experiments, or do we let that all go and save the life of a stranger that helped us out only once? Lara's decides to spare Kurtis' life, and throws the painting up to Eckhardt. Gunderson drops Kurtis over the edge of the balcony and he falls to the arena floor, but he's fine. |

Eckhardt says they are both free to go, but then introduces Lara and Kurtis to the new Boaz. She has been mutated to this ugly nasty spider. As they are about to leave, Eckhardt turns to Muller, and says he wants nothing to do with him as well and Gunderson throws him over the baclony. Muller runs for his life but Boaz catches and kills him. This is not good! |

Kurtis boosts Lara up to the baclony after the gang leaves and yells to Lara to get going. He'll take care of Boaz. Kurtis fights Boaz in the closed arena. Boaz is tough and she spits green venom ooze that is not healthy. The object now is to shoot out the four venom sacs on the side of Boaz's body, before she mutilates him. Kurtis may be slow, but using the [square] button will release the auto-aim of his gun and allows him to shoot-out different targets while moving around. KEEP MOVING! |

This arena battle will be very frustrating. It took me at least 10 tries to get it right before I finally defeated Boaz. Kurtis is not as fast as Lara and is cumbersome to move around. The secret is to watch your health and to put away your gun when you're trying to run to a new position. The other key is to stay out of the line of fire of the green venom. It knocks Kurtis over and slows him down trying to get up. |

BE PATIENT! Once the spider Boaz is killed and rolls over onto it's back, SAVE GAME! Kurtis thinks it's all over, but Boaz now comes out of her spider body as a butterly or dragonfly mutant and starts to fly around. This time aim for her head and take her down as fast as you can. Don't let her get too close or she'll try to stab you with her stinger. The secret is to keep the auto-aim of Kurtis' gun on her. Eventually she falls and dies. As Kurtis walk up to the dead body, a movie sequence begins. |

Kurtis looks on the corpse of Boaz and puts away his gun... DUMB MOVE!! With one last ounce of strength, Boaz gets up and harpoons Kurtis through the back with her stinger. Kurtis can't believe what's just happened, and slumps to the floor. I assume he dies? LEVEL ENDS. |
