Lara enters the Art Gallery through the basement. Walk your way up the first set of stairs. Lara's help voice comments on how clean the place is. Before going further, load the K2 Impactor gun. This is a silent killer that stuns people with a guide-wire tazer shock. Best to be as quiet as possible. As you round the first set of stairs, past the landing, a security guard spots you, yells in French, and runs towards you. Fire ONE SHOT with the impactor. Watch him light-up like a candle. |

He doesn't leave anything behind. As you round the next corner, the camera goes passive. Looking behind Lara, there's a security guard walking outside, past the window. Up ahead on the the next landing, a security camera is sweeping the area with red light. If the camera catches you, another security guard will come down the stairs. Use the K2 tazer on him as well. He doesn't leave any goodies. Walk around the maze of narrow halls, into the first art exhibit gallery. |

This is going to be interesting! The whole exhibit hall is flooded with a multiple laser alarm system. Trip ANY beam, the alarm will sound and steel cages will roll down and block the doors at both ends. Should this happen (and it probably will), another security guard will come into the room that you'll have to take care of first. There's an alarm reset button on the wall to the right. The alarm will have to stay active, for Lara to exit the hall at the other end. |

It looked impossible at first to figure out how to cross the hall, but then I found a sculpture on the left wall. Climb onto the display cabinet and then walk to the edge. Jump and grab the top of the sculpture. Pull up and grab the large medpack. Face the length of the hall. Jump over the first set of beams and land on the display case on the left. Jump to the middle display case. Watch the lasers as they move up and down in cycles. Run-jump to the small display case ahead, as the lasers go down. |

The next set of lasers, cycle off and on again. Just as the laser cycle off, jump across to the higher middle display case. Pull up. Look at the lasers around the display case. Lara definitely can't hop or jump between the floor lasers. Lara also can't jump through the row of lasers at the other end of the cabinet. There is also a laser running waist-high along the left side of the display case. So.... The only way out seems to be down the right side. Walk to the right edge of the display case. |

Safety-drop down the side of the cabinet and hang-on to the edge. Lara's feet will dangle just above the floor. Shimy right. Make sure you clear the last laser, or even better, shimy around the corner of the display case to be sure. Drop down to the floor. A new set of lasers activates across the entire width of the hall. It's a grid pattern that looks pretty secure. But... on the right, there's a cabinet and a ledge running high along the wall. There looks to be a gap in the laser coverage by the wall. |

Jump on top of the display case, jump up and grab the ledge. Shimy left til you can go no further. You'll be blocked by a wall lamp. Drop to the floor. SAVE GAME. You're now clear and can exit the first gallery. Go out the doors. A movie sequence shows Lara the entire second gallery area, all the security defenses and of course the guards patrolling. There's a set of doors to the archaelogical dig site at the end and a set of doors to the Mona Lisa gallery. |

The next set of laser defenses run at a criss-cross. Lara can crawl underneath them. Go into the first section. Draw your K2 tazer. Trip the alarm and duck behind one of the pillars. Fire one shot at the security guard as he approaches. Pick up his security pass. Another commando in black comes to help out. Run out to the center hall and take him down before he injures you beyond repair (he's a good shot). Load up with health as needed. |

At the end of the hall, there are 2 doors. Neither can be opened just yet. Watch out for the security camera sweeping the area. Avoid it for now. Go in through the doors in the middle of the hall. There is another short hallway and another security camera sweeping the width of the hall. Sneak in and walk down the wall on the left or right. You can avoid being detected. If you are detected, another security guard will come in from behind. Take him down if needed. |

With your gun still drawn, walk into the next gallery area. A security guard comes running to stop you and he dodges your gunfire. Take him down with the K2 tazer from close range. This is where they keep the famous Mona Lisa painting. And the security around the painting is impressive. A string of lasers in a semi-circle and if the lasers are broken (try it), jets of poison gas from the wall. Above the painting, is an open ventilation duct (for the gas maybe) and a maintenance ledge. This is our exit? |

After walking around the hall aimlessly, we find that the display case against the far wall, in the corner, is movable. Pull the block from the corner. Lara gets a strength upgrade. Moving the display case has revealed a card reader on the wall. Use the security pass to disarm the lasers around Mona Lisa. I would SAVE GAME here, because you may need 2-3 attempts to do this next series of moves on a timer. FIRST, go to the center display case and now push it all the way towards the Mona Lisa. |

Go back to the card reader and swipe the security pass. Lara has 20 seconds to get to the ledge above the painting. Run to the back of the big display case you moved. Quickly jump and pull up to the top of the case. Immediately run-jump and grab the ledge above the Mona Lisa painting. Pull up, go into crouch position and wait. The laser security will re-engage in about 5 seconds. Crawl into the ventilation duct and go right, all the way to the fan room. |

Inside the small fan room, climb up to the steel ladder on the wall, to the rooftop exit. As you climb out, you can see a security guard patrolling the roof, through the vent cover. He notices you. Kick down the vent and quickly draw your weapon. Fire one shot from the K2 impactor. He leaves nothing behind. This is a large area to explore. There is nothing on the central roof. Go down both sides to the lower walkways. On the left side, there are 2 doors at each end that Lara can't open yet. |

There are no open doors anywhere, and there doesn't look like there are any ledges to climb or shimy?
I took this shot just for fun!! The graphics in this game are incredible in some places, and I thought it kinda cool, to be able to walk on a glass skylight and look down. |

I finally found out the air conditioner along the one wall is climable. Pull up to the top of the air conditoner, then over to the square vent pipe. From there, jump up and grab the ledge. Shimy to the right, and when you are clear, pull up on the ledge. Engage [walk] so you don't fall off. Safety drop down to pass the ornate ledge railing then pull up to the next ledge section. I suggest a SAVE GAME here.. |

The screen camera will go passive as you walk underneath the overhead wire. Jump up and grab the wire. Quickly monkey bar to the right, across to the far wall. You have no time to spare at all. The analog control may hesitate halfway, as you have to remember to go with the direction of the camera, as it sees Lara.. This will probably take 2-3 tries to get the hang of it. When Lara makes it to the other side, she will get a strength upgrade. |

Drop down to the ledge and use [walk]. Go along the ledge to the gap by the drainpipe. Safety-drop down, shimy to the right, then down the drainpipe til you see an open window on the right. You can see a security guard walking in the hallway. Walk across the ledge (back to the wall), then go in through the wondow. Take down the security guard. Grab his Guard's Key. Go back out the window and back up the pipe. Continue along the ledge to the right and jump to the roof walkway. |

Go down the walkway to the caged storage area. Use your crowbar to force the door open. Crawl into the vent shaft. Inside the vent shaft, follow the path to the opening in the cieling, above another storage room. Drop down into the room. SAVE GAME.
