Starting at the very top of the central column maze, we'll go for the wall lever for the Greek legend of the sea, Poseidon. From the broken edge of the central structure, jump to the wall ledge (previously pulled out) [1]. Take a careful calculated jump/hop to the next extended stone ledge [2]. Jump to the broken alcove inset in the wall [3]. From the corner, jump and grab the horizontal bar [4]. Swing and release to the ledge [5]. Go up the steps.

Pull the wall lever. A cutaway scene shows the iron gate opening under the Poseidon arch. As Lara turns away from the lever, the 2 lamplights on either side of the lever burst into flame. A small ledge walkway extends from the wall. This is our route back to the central structure. Watch for 2 flying bats. Load your pistols and take them down from the stairs. Make the jump across to the central structure and work down to the Poseidon door level.

The Poseidon door is about 1/2 way down (3rd level). When you can face the door, look left. Use your grapple, and pull the stone ledge out from the wall. From the broken tile section, jump to the stone ledge (out of view here). From the corner, make a running leap and grab the stone ledge to the right [1]. Miss and you fall to your death. Shimy right and jump to the series of stone ledges [2]. Pull up and walk around the hidden alcove [3].

At the far end of the alcove watch your step. You don't have to safety drop down. Carefully walk along the edge and slide down the ramp to the archway [4]. Go in through the Poseidon arch. Go down to the hallway to the blocked iron gates. Pull the wall lever. Grab the metal tab on the gate before it goes up. Listen to the drum beats. On the 4th beat, jump to the opening high in the wall[X] as the gate suddenly falls back to the ground.

Crouch through the hole and drop to the hallway floor on the other side. Load your pistols. Kill the 3 rats that come scurrying up the floor. Walk down to the small room with the 4 pillars and waterpool. Behind one of the columns, pick-up the small medipack. Jump in the water. Dive down to the bottom. Find and pull the wall lever. Open the gate and swim up to the open pool. Climb out.

Welcome to Poseidon's world. This room is controlled by the flow of water, so the puzzles will involve how you work at various water levels. There are 3 water levels in all and each one is controlled by the fish statues and the stone blocks. The central pillar has a pull lever, but we can't get at it from this angle. It will have to be underwater for us have access to pull it. First, go to the left and pick-up the small medipack in the round alcove.

In one of the other alcoves, you can see an artifact glowing behind an iron gate. Jump in the water. Look down from the central column and locate the underwater lever [X]. Dive down and pull the lever. The gate to the alcove is now open. Swim back up to the surface then across to the alcove. Climb out and grab artifact 2/6. Get out of the water and climb the middle column to the very top.

There are 2 arched bridges. One leads to an alcove behind an iron gate. You can see the Poseidon Key inside. The other leads to a fish sculpture and a stone block. Go to the alcove with the fish sculpture. Pick-up the 50-calibre ammo off to the left. Pull the stone block away from the fish. The fish will start to gush water from its mouth and the water level in the room rises to the upper level. Swim across to the alcove on the other side.

Push the other stone block off the edge of the alcove. It will fall into the water and drop to the second level [X]. Now dive into the water and swim down. Find the lever on the central column. Pull the lever. A cutaway scene shows a horizontal trap door gate opening releasing a wooden raft. It floats up to the surface but is hung up under a stone bridge walkway. Swim up to the surface, climb out and return to the fish sculpture. Push the stone block tight up against the fish.

The water level drops back down to the second level. Be careful when you jump down off the bridge into the water below. On the second level walk over to the alcove with the stone block and the second fish sculpture. Push the stone block tight up against the gushing fish sculpture. The flow of water stops and the room drains of water. The lower level is a long way. Safety drop off the edge. Lara will take an injury but only 1/4 of her health.

Using your grapple and standing a distance away, pull the raft to the other side of the room. Pull as far as you can right up against the floor rubble. Go to the far wall with the stone wall legdes. Climb the rubble then jump to the stone ledges, up to the second level. Pull up. Go to the fish sculpture and release the stone block. The water level will rise and so will the raft [X]. Swim to the open alcove. Using the grapple pull the raft halfway [1].

Check the position of the raft to make sure it's lined up to be in between the 2 arched stone bridges above you. Swim back to the center column and climb up to the top. Go to the fish sculpture and pull the stone block. The water level rises to the 3rd level. The raft should now be floating right below the alcove in the wall. Jump to the raft. Jump to the wall opening. Pull up. Jump and grab the ledge on the right. Shimy over above the gate.

Pull up through the small arched opening above the gate, crouch through and jump down to the alcove. Grab the Poseidon Key. Go to the left wall and pull the lever relasing the gate back out into the room. Go back to the fish statue and push the block tight up against the sculpture. The water level goes back down to the 2nd level . Jump into the water below, climb out and swim down through the water pool we came in back to the entrance.

Back in the gate room, go to the right wall and pull the lever. Jump to the metal flange in the middle of the iron gate. Ride up with the gate. Count the drum beats. On the 4th beat, jump to the high wall opening as the gate slams back to the floor. Jump down to the hallway and out to the labyrinth. A stone ledge pushes out from the wall below you, as you walk under the archway. The lamplights on each side of the archway are now lit with mist.

SAVE GAME as you cross the checkpoint under the arch. The jump back to the central structure could be hazardous. At this point, you can climb down to the bottom and insert your key into the receptacle to release a sword.
