In this level, Lara is in the Tomb Raider Legend outift which was unlocked by collecting at least 2 relics. I am in replay mode.

Walking into the palace is not a safe bet. As soon as Lara enters the palace courtyard near the waterpool, load your 50-cal guns or shotgun. Pistols could take too long. 3 gorillas attack from the right. Best strategy is to run around the pool backwards trying to huddle all 3 gorillas to follow around the pool in the same direction. If they don't stay together as a group and attack, jump in the water to escape. They won't follow. Take care of business.
In the palace courtyard, there are 3 locked doors to open. 2 door levers are on the second level. One is accessible right now. From the entrance to the palace, facing Midas, go right. Climb the small stone block next to the fountain. Jump to the wall ledge then up to the next wall ledge. Pull up to the 2nd floor terrace. Pull the lever. A cutaway scene shows one of the doors opening below.
Safety drop down from the terrace or jump in the pool below. Go in through the doorway and down the hallways til you reach the large room. Inside are numerous floor traps with inverted spears. Carelessly walking too close to a barrel of spears will injure Lara, so be careful. When entering the room, go to Lara's left. Look up along the back wall. There's a 2nd storey balcony hidden by blocks. Use your grapple and pull the stone blocks to the floor.
There's an artifact up on that balcony. Along the right wall, there's a glowing object up on the 2nd floor balcony. There's no way to get up there right now. Go through the room to the back hallway. Go right of the stairs and find the wooden crate. Pull the crate away from the doorway, all the way into the room. Leave the crate for now. Go back in the room and pull the wall lever at the end of the hall. A gate to the 2nd floor at the top of the stairs, opens.
Go up the stairs to the 2nd floor balcony. You can see the objective [X] on the other balcony. Pull the floor lever. A cutaway scene shows a number of white stone columns and gold & grey columns lifting up out from the floor. Each column locks into place at various heights. The gold & grey columns release spears at the top when they lock into place. Before jumping to the columns, run back down the stairs to the first floor. Find the crate.
If you haven't already... push the crate to the floor of the room. Find the grey column on the left that has a notch in its base. Push the crate into the notch. This will prevent the column from going all the way back into the floor when the timer is tripped. This will utlimately give you access to a relic. Once the crate is in place, go back up the stairs to the balcony. Jump to the white stone column straight ahead. Lara hears a drumbeat.
As Lara land on the white column, it slowly starts to retract into the floor. Take a running jump to the left and grab the ledge on the grey column with the gold trim. The white column behind you retracts to the floor. Oddly enough, the gold & grey columns with the spear tops don't react. Shimy around to the right to the far side. Align the camera, lean back and jump to the ramp along the back wall. Slide half way down and leap to grab the platform.
Pull up top and turn right. The platform starts to retract into the wall. Take a running jump to the grey column dead ahead. Grab the crack in the column. Shimy around to the right. Adjust Lara's camera, lean back and jump to the next white column. Pull up and immediately, run jump to the ramp, slide just a little, then leap to grab the platform. The white column, the ramp and the platform, start to retract. Run jump to the next platform.
Go left. Run jump to the next grey & gold column. Shimy around to the left. Lean back. Jump to the white stone column. Jump up one ledge and pull up on top. The white column will be retracting into the floor. Jump to the balcony on the right before it goes too far for Lara to make the leap. Go to the pedestal and pick-up the lead bar? This is odd.. Remember Midas... When we get back to the statue we'll change it to gold. Safety drop to the floor.
Now it's time to get the relic. Make sure the wooden crate is still pushed into the grey column with the notch. Go back up the stairs to the 2nd floor and pull the floor lever. All the columns will rise and lock into place. The relic is behind the stone blocks on the balcony along the left wall [X]. Traverse the columns as if you were going to get the lead bar. At the last white column, jump to the top, then leap to the ramp on the left. Slide and grab the ledge.
Shimy to the right and pull up to the balcony on the right of the stone blocks. Walk around to the back. Pick-up the Athenian Owl Figurine relic. Safety drop back down to the floor below. If you don't have the artifact yet, then go back up the stairs and pull the lever again. If you DO have the artifact already, go out from the room back through the hallways to the statue courtyard.
If you haven't retrieved the artifact yet, go back up the stairs to the 2nd floor balcony. The artifact is on the balcony to the far right [X]. Again jump to the white colun straight ahead, and traverse across the columns til you get to the back wall. Climb up to the retracting platform. Immediately jump right to the white column (it's already retracting) and jump left to the wall ledge. Pull up and grab artifact 1/1. Safety drop down to the floor.
On your way back out to the statue courtyard, watch-out for 2 gorillas. They can run into the hallways trapping you. Load your 50-cal guns or shotgun, to inflict the most damage in a hurry. You can also run past them out to the courtyard and take care of business a little easier, by the water pool.
Like all other relics that you collect during the game, Lara can go back to Croft Manor and view her rewards in her Gallery Room on the 2nd floor. Of coure you have to SAVE GAME first, or SAVE REWARDS. The relic will be in a display case along the left wall.
