This is the 2nd level boss, and true to tradition like in any other video game, a little tougher than the 1st one. Gulp is not only big, he has 2 missle-launcher back-packs which are down-right nasty and accurate. The secret to this level is similar to the 1st boss, STAY ALIVE, go for one good strike each round, and charge run around to find extra health. You'll automatically come to this level entrance with Elora, after successfully getting all 14 level talismans.

One thing different about Gulp, is that he swallows things. What he swallows determines what he is going to do next and what kind of weapon you can expect him to launch at you. Watch closely and you'll see him bump the ground, and open his mouth, next to a bomb, or rocket. The bomb he burps up, when it lands, lights an explosion shock-wave that may zap you. The rockets he burps up, will chase you for about 10 seconds. You can beat it by just staying in running mode while it chases you. Remember never to get close to Gulp when he burps.

To defeat Gulp you have to hit him with rockets and bombs, either by head-butting barrels towards him, flaming bombs and pushing them in his direction, or swallowing, aiming and firing rockets. Not an easy situation, considering he's not sitting still and is firing at you, while you're firing at him. Unlike the 1st world, you need 10 strikes and he's history. Make sure you have at least 5 lives to practice with to get the routine memorized. Every once in awhile, Hunter will drop sheep down to you that you can use to restore Sparx's glow, but don't get distracted.

Always keep your distance. Running 90 degrees left or right will do it. Be patient and avoid the lightning balls that come from his back-pack. When the back-pack turns 90 degrees upward, he will shoot from the back-pack. The secret is while he's standing still after he fires, he makes a perfect target if you've swallowed a rocket.
