Ripto's Rage

Summer

Now comes the first real test of stamina for Spyro. Before entering this level, make sure you have at least 10 men so you don't burn up your game before finishing this level. Crush has a nasty habit of coming at you with an arsenal of weapons that zap Sparx before you get a chance to flame sheep to restore Sparx even just a little.

Crush's Dungeon 1 Crush is a big-time enemy that can be beaten without fear, by repeated, smart attacks. Don't waste your health trying to get in 3-4 quick strikes all at once. It won't work. Once the electric force-field is active when he is on a platform, he is inpenetrable. You have to work the arena, running around to avoid being hit, and then while he is walking to another platform, flame him from behind. You can sneak up to him while he is on a lit platform, and jump from trouble if you time the weapons from Scorch. Each hit will zap one ball from Crush's health meter.

Crush's Dungeon 2 With every hit on Scorch, he tries to hit you with his big club, but the force of his club hitting the ground, causes an overhead rockfall which lands on him. You will need to hit him 7 times. The electric shock waves can be jumped over without injury and the pulse flame balls can be dodged by charging at 90 degrees left or right once the pulse is fired. As Crush's health goes down, he gets braver, shoots more fireballs and will start to chase you faster and longer. You'll need a full sprint for about 10 seconds before he gives up the chase and bangs his club.

Once you've defeated Crush, there's a movie feature with Ripto ranting and raving how he hates dragons, then another movie with Elora, Hunter and Professor trying to fix the Dragon Gate. You now enter the 2nd home world, Autumn Plains.
