Sly & Murray will be fighting it out on the high seas, just the 2 of them. Use the sea navigation map [L3] to plot your course to the first "X" (or battleground). The first battle is on you whether you're ready or not. It's you against 1 Sea-Dog ship Steer the ship using [L2+R2] to align the cannons with the enemy ship. When the cannons face the ship, WHACK THE CANNONS WITH YOUR CANE. Quickly turn your ship around and face the enemy ship with your other cannons. FIRE AWAY.

Once you've successfully pounded the ship with 8-10 direct cannon ball hits, Bentley yells at you to go ram the Sea-Dog ship and go onboard to steal all the cargo. Run to the bow of the ship, and steer it into the floudering pirate ship. As it touches, jump off your ship to the Sea-Dog ship. Pirates are waiting for you on the deck. Fight the good fight and take down the captain (the pirate with the biggest hat). Grab his Red Sail Fleet Chart. Now, go find the rest of the fleet.

This is the Battle Results Chart. I've been battling and sinking other pirate ships on the high seas already, so my total is 10. If you knock down the masts on any Sea-Dog pirate ship BUT KEEP IT FLOATING and then BOARD THE SHIP and TAKE DOWN THE CAPTAIN, you'll receive a glass bottle ship (with the coin total you grabbed). If you SINK THE SHIP WITHOUT BOARDING, you'll only receive a sunken ship (with a lower coin total).

RESTORING THE SHIP: We're now back on the open seas again. If you've taken damage from cannon balls, look for the treasure chests with a red cross. These are health power-ups and will repair your ship. Be careful navigating in the open waters.

THERE ARE SEA-DOG SHIPS EVERYWHERE! If you want to engage in a practice battle, (or are really greedy and just want more coins), when you come close to a ship in open water, look for the [circle] button logo in the lower right corner of the screen. Once your press [cricle], GAMEPLAY will turn to a battle with that Sea-Dog ship. Again, SINK THE SHIP you'll get coins. BOARD THE SHIP AND KILL THE CAPTAIN, you get more?

The 2nd big battle (next "X" location), will be you and the gang against 3 Red Sail Sea-Dog ships. Strategy is a little different. The trick is to damage all the ships, then sink them one at a time. Maneuver your pirate ship to isolate one Sea-dog ship. FIRE ALL YOUR CANNONS (BOTH SIDES) on one ship and leave it paralyzed with no cannons or mast. NOW GO AFTER ANOTHER SHIP. If you take damage from enemy cannonball fire (which you will), quickly whack the water spout.

Destroy all 3 ships and you'll jump to another Battle Results Chart showing your coin haul and YOUR CAREER RANK. Back on the open seas, if you're damaged, look for more treasure chests to restore your boat. Find the final battle position. Bentley will let you know when you are close. This one will be tough. It's you against 4 Red Sail Sea-Dog ships and they put up a big fight. Best attack is at a 90 degree angle (so they don't fire their cannons as often because of the angle).

Aim and fire your cannons as often as you can. If need be, DON'T WAIT FOR ALL YOUR CANNONS TO RESET. Even if only 2-3 have reset on any given side, fire the cannons that are ready. This way, you'll always have something to shoot with. The trick is to knock-out all the Sea-Dog cannons as quickly as you can. Once done, SINK ALL 4 SHIPS. The Battle Results Chart will show your victory and the huge coin haul from winning the campaign. Sail back to the harbor. JOB COMPLETE.
