Bentley and Murray start this mission. Before they can go out to sea on a stolen pirate ship, the gang is going to disable all the galleons that are docked in the harbor. Murray & Sly are going to row out into the harbor in a small jollyboat and blow up all the rudders on the ships. They won't be able to leave dock and chase after them, when they make their getaway. The jolly boat has been fitted with a cannon that will help the job go a little easier. Security shouldn't be a problem.

Murray's rowing the boat. Sly will be manning the cannon. Use [X] to paddle forward. If you're in a jam, use [square] to paddle backwards. The FASTER YOU TAP THE [X] BUTTON, THE HARDER MURRAY ROWS. The FIRST rudder is guarded by one cannon on a buoy. WATCH OUT FOR THE CANNON BOMBS. Avoid them by rowing fast under the shadow of the bomb before it reaches the water, or rowing side to side. Try to avoid getting hit even once. Shoot-out the cannon first [R1].

Once the cannon's gone and there is no nearby threat, point the boat to the wooden rudder under the boat. Fire a cannon-shot [R1] and blow out the rudder (may take 2 shots). To make the cannon reach farther, HOLD DOWN [R1] and watch the target shadow lengthen. When you have the right distance, RELEASE [R1] for a pin-point shot. The SECOND rudder has 2 cannon buoys nearby, to knock-out. Take care of business and blow-up the next rudder. Move on to the 3rd ship.

The next galleon has 3 cannon buoys to take down and they fire cannon bombs farther and more frequently. It will be a challenge to isolate one cannon and blow it up while under fire from the other cannons. The trick is to focus on one cannon at a time. If your improve your odds, you improve your chance for survival. The jollyboat can only withstand 4-5 direct hits before it sinks. Once the cannons are all destroyed, blow-up the 3rd rudder. The last one will be a nightmare.

The 4th and final rudder has 4 cannon buoys guarding it. All I can say is.... go for it! Fire the cannon as often as you can and dodge the cannon bombs as best you can. IT'S NOT A BAD IDEA TO RETREAT BEHIND A BOAT to catch your breath (and rest your fingers). Take down the 4th rudder.. Bentley breaks-in and tells Murray & Sly that the pirates have heard the explosions and a group of them are swarming out in the harbor.

There are 6 pirates on jollyboats also equipped with cannons. First, Murray & Sly have to ram the boats to disable the shields. This isn't just a gentle nudge? Murray has to ram them at a speed, fast enough to knock down the shields. After that it's just a matter of sinking the boats with a cannon ball. Take down the boats one by one. Avoid the return cannon fire by rowing fast under the shadows of the cannon balls as they fire on your boat. Eventually, all 6 boats go down.

[Movie sequence begins] Bentley breaks-in... STILL MORE PROBLEMS! He had no idea the harbor patrol had a cutter? Murray & Sly will have to take down this pirate ship as well, if they want a clean escape route. Sly seems to think the mast may be the best bet. If they can land a few cannon balls and break the mast, they should be able to disable the ship. The cutter has 3 cannons to contend with. They do fire in sequence and take a few seconds to reload. That's your window.

Sneak under the cannon fire from the boat and fire a cannon ball on the deck of the ship. The cannon ball has to land ON the ship for it to weaken the mast. After 2-3 direct hits, THE DECK OF THE BOAT WILL CATCH FIRE (that's how you know you're making progress). Row like mad away from the ship if the cannon fire gets too intense. The second the cannons stop firing, row back to the ship and fire 2 MORE CANNON BALLS. The ship goes down in flames. JOB COMPLETE.
