THIS IS IT! The final battle and confrontation with Doctor M inside the Inner Sanctum. Doctor M thinks Sly is no match to his father and like Bentley, HE (Doctor M) has been playing second fiddle to a Cooper all his life. That's all about to change. In this arena battle there are 3 stages. Each successful stage completion will knock down Doctor M's health by 1/3. The trick is to survive that long. Doctor M takes off in his helicopter spider machine to the edges of the arena.

Use the ninja spire jump to the laser wires around the arena. Continue to ninja hop along the lasers chasing Doctor M. FLIP JUMP IN THE AIR (while he's not firing his heat seeker missles) and latch-on to his spider frame with your cane. He'll drag you in tow back into the center arena. Quickly look for the power boat that emerges from the underground storage garage, and hide behind it. As Doctor M fires his laser, the power boat will explode but Sly will be safe for the moment.

Attack Doctor M right away with your cane. Use your lightning spin strike and hit him FROM THE SIDE OR BACK. If you try to whack him with your cane from the front, he'll knock you out of the ring. (Sly will take a major 1/4 hit in health). Avoid being close to his power pounces and water bubbles that'll trap you momentarily. When you hit him square, the screen goes into slow motion. 1ST STAGE COMPLETE.

the 2nd stage is the same. Ninja spire jump out to the laser wires and hunt down Doctor M and his helipcopter. After he fires a missle, FLIP JUMP INTO THE AIR and latch-on to the bottom of his spider frame. He'll again drag you into the center arena. This time run behind the helicopter that comes up from underground storage. He blows that up with his laser (such a shame). Attack wth your cane again. This time Doctor M uses shock therapy. Stay far away if you can.

The secret to winning the 2nd stage is AVOIDING THE ENERGY WAVES. While Doctor M fires his energy balls or waves he's vulnerable for 1-2 seconds. WHACK HIM WITH A LIGHTNING CANE SPIN from behind, while he's standing still (recharging). A direct hit and the screen will go into slow motion again. 2ND STAGE COMPLETE.

The 3rd and final stage is the same. Ninja spire jump out to the laser wires and hunt down Doctor M and his helipcopter. He's a little quicker and dodgier this time and will be hard to catch. FLIP JUMP INTO THE AIR and latch-on to the bottom of his spider frame. He'll again drag you into the center arena. This time run behind the old convertible car that comes up from underground storage. Like everything else, he torches it! Get ready for the last face-to-face battle.

This time Doctor M prefers FIRE BALLS. Run your way around to the right of Doctor M as he shoots fire balls. KEEP WHACKING HIM FROM THE SIDE AND BACK as he tries to turn around to face you. Hopefully you'll have enough health left to take him down. The direct hit to Doctor M is a movie gem as he goes down for the count.

WINNING STRATEGY: The best advice I can give is STAY ALIVE. Do whatever you can in the 1st round to AVOID INJURY! Be smart and wait for the right opportunity to hit Doctor M. There is no timer. It's more important to save health as long as you can. Run around the arena first and watch Doctor M's moves. You'll see weak spots. I found that Doctor M is at his weakest, the split-second after landing from a pounce.

[Epilogue movie sequence begins] With Doctor M defeated, the gang finds out that Doctor M is not done yet? He has worked so hard over the decades to get at the Cooper fortune and is not about to let anyone else have it either? He stays inside the Inner Sanctum as the island is blown apart. Murray, Bentley and Penelope look on from a distant shore, wondering if Sly got out alive?

[Epilogue sequence continues] Bentley and Murray search every inch of the island looking for Sly as they gather up all the members of the gang including Guru, Dimitri and Panda King. No luck! But.. Sly left his calling card (a cell phone) and that was worth millions! It was the conclusion that Sly DID get out alive but didn't want to be found. It would be many months before thay would communicate with each other again.

[Epilogue sequence continues] Murray has moved-on and finished his Dreamtime training with Guru. He has developed a passion for truck racing (stock van class). He's been moving up in the rankings and has perfected a mysterious technique of being thrown clear of danger just before a big wreck. Dimitri has turned to celebrity scuba diving and Panda King returned home to screen potential suitors for his daughter.

[Epilogue sequence continues] Not to be oudone, Bentley & Penelope have fallen in love. They are now together working on engineering projects. Their biggest project of course, has been securing the Cooper vault and making sure the fortune stays in safe hands. Bentley has an idea to make a time machine. He misses the good old days when Sly, Murray & him were best of friends growing up, back in the orphanage?

[Epilogue sequence continues] The bomb explosions on the island have left Sly with a bad case of amnesia.... At least that's what he is letting Carmelita believe? Now that he knows about his family's heritage, and has secured a handsome retirement, there is no more need for thievery for the moment and it's time to pursue a relationship with Carmelita. They were recently spotted somewhere in Paris.. MISSION COMPLETE.
