Cooper Hangar Defense

Hangar Defense 1 Time for beefing up security. Bentley & Murray both know that Muggshot and his gang are going to try and sabotage Copper's plane. Bentley is going to work on the computer terminals to get the security up and running in the sewers. In the meantime, Murray just has to keep watch. Muggshot and his thugs pay a visit to the Cooper hangar. He wants payback, for when Sly wrecked his operations, in Mesa City.

Hangar Defense 2 Muggshot is impossible to beat by just a fist fight. HE'S TOO STRONG AND TOO BIG! So... Bentley has rigged a nearby winch with an anvil weight that Murray can swing at Muggshot. The button is near the middle of the hangar. FIGHT OFF THE THUGS as they storm the hangar. Beat them off. When you have a free moment, go over and press the winch button. Muggshot will take a hit. It will take 5-10 seconds for the winch to reset. Beat off more enemies for awhile.

Hangar Defense 3 Muggshot will go down after 4 good hits with the anvil. [Movie sequence begins] Muggshot vows revenge eventhough he's badly hurt. No matter... Bentley has been working on his security defense system, installed down in the sewers below the hangar. He has all the angles covered now. Bentley's going to need Murray to monitor both sewers for probable invaders, while he finishes his work on the computers.

Hangar Defense 4 Both security cameras can be zoomed-in using the directional keypad. The SECURITY DEVICES CAN ONLY BE ACTIVATED when the security camera for that zone, either LEFT or RIGHT, is zoomed-in. The controller buttons are assigned to a remote SECURITY DEVICE in that sewer. Watch for the invaders to run up the catwalks, down in the sewer. When they pass over a checkpoint, activate the local security. The device will crush them, torch them or electrocute them, depending on where they are.

Hangar Defense 5 Each security device has a power reset meter bar on the left side of the matching CONTROLLER BUTTON SYMBOL. After each use, the power drains and the bar will start to refill again. It will take 5-10 seconds to recharge a device, back to where it can be used again. THIS IS CRITICAL STRATEGIC INFORMATION!! When the invaders start coming one after another, wave after wave, you'll have to plan the sequence of devices you're going to use, based on the different reset times.

Hangar Defense 6 After all the invaders are taken care of in the sewers, the gang breathes a sigh of relief (all be it temporary). [Movie sequence begins] Now that the sewers are secured, it's time to call-in Miss Penlelope. She's going to secure the outside perimeter, by flying her RC chopper. Her RC chopper is equipped with a lanyard cable that when deployed precisely, will attach, yank and uproot any potential attackers off the ground.

Hangar Defense 7 Controlling the RC Chopper is a little different from other missions (in previous Sly games). The LEFT analog stick controls steering navigation AND NOW, SPEED. Leaving the left analog stick IN NEUTRAL, will allow you to hover in one location. Pushing hard forward or in any direction, will accelerate the chopper. Use [X] to deploy the grapple hook and cable. Once the hook attaches to a suspect on the ground, use [R1] for a turbo boost, to yank him cleanly off the ground.

EXTRA HINT: The arrows on the screen will show the position of an attacker, that's not in the screen camera area. A yellow arrow indicates someone on the ground nearby. A red arrow identifies an approaching tank.

ANOTHER EXTRA HINT: Once the grapple hook cable attaches to an attacker or tank, look for the tug meter on the lower left of the screen. It will show you HOW MUCH TURBO FORCE you'll need, to yank them off the ground.

Hangar Defense 8 To add to the confusion, tanks are also attacking. These enemies require IMMEDIATE ATTENTION because they have cannons, and will fire on the gang's hangar, once they're within range. The grapple hook cable, once attached, will take SEVERAL TURBO YANKS to disable a tank. Several waves of attackers will try to pound away at the hangar. Watch the hangar meter at the lower right. Eventually Penelope will win the fight and clear the area. JOB COMPLETE.
