It seems that the only way Sly and the gang are going to have a chance to win the ACES dog-fight, is to sabotage the other teams. This has been a common practice in the past, so why break from tradition now? Bentley has an elaborate plan to frame Team Belgium against Team Iceland. To do this, Murray & Bentley are going to play decoy and grab a hankerchief from one of the Belgium pilots. Sly will then swap the hankerchief with Iceland's team ice sculpture.

Murray's up first. All the pilots are still inside the hotel. Murray is going to try and distract one of the Belgium pilots by trying his stand-up comic routine. If he can make the pilot laugh, he'll be pre-occupied just long enough for Bentley to sneak behind and grab his handkerchief from his back pocket. Walk up to the Belgium pilot (bullseye target in hotel) and start the conversation sequence. Putting your fist in your mouth should do the trick and the pilot will start to laugh.

Gameplay turns to Bentley. Wheel him across the hotel floor to a position behind the pilot. As he laughs, an aura will appear around him. You can only pick-pocket WHILE THE AURA IS GLOWING. Extend the pickpocket fishing rod from Bentley [L1]. Latch the magnet onto the pilot's pocket as he laughs. Wheel backwards and pull the magnet out from his pocket. Wait for the pilot to laugh again, and pull again from his back pocket. On the 3rd attempt, you'll pull out the hankerchief.

Gameplay turns to Guru. Sly & Guru are going to break into Team Iceland's van. It's driving around the village carrying a very precious ice sculpture. This sculpture has been their good luck charm at previous ACES events. The van is heavily armed with security. Guru is going to have to possess a few guards and ram them into the back of the van, to break the door. Once the door is blow open, Sly will jump inside and grab the cargo. He'll swap it for the Belgium handkerchief.

Run across town to the area with the windmills and hangars. The van will be driving around this area. Sneak up behind any patrolling guard and jump to his back. As you possess them, THE SCREEN WILL GO MISTY. The guard starts to run in a panic. Harness the guard and look for the blue bullseye target of the moving van. Run him into the back of the van. The power meter for the van will go down one notch. Find another guard and possess him. Run him into the back of the van.

The van (now under attack) DEPLOYS NEW SECURITY. Every few seconds, it will toss a bear trap on the road. Once Guru possess a guard, he'll now have to avoid the traps to get to the back of the van. Continue on. Eventually the door to the back of the van will break open in an explosion. Sly notices that the roof to the van has also been blown open. He should be able to jump inside from above. Gameplay turnes to Sly. Find a high jump point along one of the roads. STAND AND WAIT.

I used the plane runway ramp as my jump point. I was able to locate and watch the bullseys target of the van as it drove its way around. When it comes down the road, jump to the van through the roof. Inside the van, a hidden safe. Use your safe cracking techniques and turn the tumblers. Remember, RIGHT til it rumbles, then LEFT til it rumbles, then RIGHT AGAIN til it rumbles. TADA! Take out the ice sculpture and replace it with the handkerchief. JOB COMPLETE.
