On this assignment, Sly has to first find this strange water bug. He is perched high atop a building swaying in the breeze out in the middle of the temple grounds. To get there, Sly has to first cross the grounds (avoiding the guards). THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY GUARDS PATROLLING, TO PICK A FIGHT. You cannot win unless you run. Look for the broken stone wall by the waterfall. Climb the wall. Walk around to the back of the wall to the tree stump. Jump to the vine and shimy up.

Jump to the swaying platform. It may seem a little dangerous, but if you stay away from the edge, you'll be safe. Jump to the vine, and shimy up to the next roof. The water bug is swimming in a nearby pool of water. Bentley breaks-in and explains to Sly that this is a rare Indian water bug that has radio transmitting properties when it rubs its wings. Bentley wants you to plant the bug in Rajan's office inside the temple. They can then monitor all of Rajan's communications.

Press [circle] and the bug jumps to Sly's back. Jump from the roof down to the floor below. DON'T WORRY. YOU WON'T DIE FROM THE FALL. Run to the building dead ahead. Find the mushroom bounce pad and jump to the roof. Don't bother with the security right now and FIRST drop the bug in the nearby water pool. If you wait too long, he'll start chirping and alarm the guards. THIS IS NOT GOOD! It will alert more guards than you can see. Be prepared for a heck of a fight.

Sly's big problem is he has to protect the bug at all times. If you're going to fight any guard, make sure the bug is safe in a water pool. BEFORE picking up the bug again, scope out the area and locate the next water pool. ALSO, make sure the coast is clear to get to the next water pool. You don't want any surprise confrontations on the way. Put the bug on your back and run quickly to get to the next waterpool, below the cliff on the far side of the temple grounds, across the river.

Leave the bug in the water pool and scout for the next pool location. THE BUG WILL BE FINE AND WON'T BE ATTACKED WHILE IN WATER. Climb up the vines on the nearby cliff to the upper grounds. Along the roadway, there's another pool near the watch tower. Jump down, Grab the bug, climb the vines, run across the square to the roadway, and dump the bug in the water pool. NO MATTER WHAT, you'll attract attention from the patrolling guards and will have to fight. Knock'em all down!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Should Sly take ANY damage from fighting a guard while the bug is on his back, the MISSION WILL FAIL! Sly will have to start all over again, atop the swaying building. Sly will also have to restart if he dies from losing his fights.

Grab the bug again, and run down the roadway, past the truck, to the water pool behind the large tree on the right. Drop the bug in the water pool. You're going to have to fight again. This time, probably more than 3-4 guards will come running. Use your combo power slam move to get rid of them quickly before the larger guards with flashlights are alerted. IF THEY COME RUNNING, you'll have to run far away and jump up into a tree for safety. Once the coast is clear and guards are gone, grab the bug and run to the temple.

Avoid the ramp and stone stairs leading up to the balconies of the temple, and look for a vine up the stone wall. Jump to the vine and shimy up to the next level. Run across (sneaking behind the guards) and quickly dump the bug in the water pool (by the canal). IF THE GUARDS ARE ALERTED, fight them all and lead them away from the water bug. Quickly run back and take the bug up the next set of stairs, across the wooden bridge to the next courtyard. The waterpool is at the end.

The next water pool is on a higher balcony that appears to be impossible to get to. The secret is to look around the back of the big tree by the water pool. Around the edge of the curved building, look for the blue sparkle lights. Grab the bug, and shimy across to the left along the ledge of the building. Shimy to the small balcony. Grab the clue bottle. Jump over the balcony railing to the mushroom pad below. BOUNCE UP to the stone walkway. Run or jump past the guard FIRST and dump the water bug in the water pool.

Take down the pesky monkey guard and grab the bug again. Run to the cliff wall. Look for the Sly face silohette. This is a hidden sliding rock door that will let you into Rajan's secret office. Whack all the vases for coins and a lurking Cobra that you don't want to be surprised by. Be careful entering into Rajan's office. There's moving floor lasers. ONE TOUCH AND YOU'LL DAMAGE THE BUG and... you'll have to start all over again? (and you really don't want to do that being this close)

Carefully make your way across the floor of the office, over to the water pool on the far side of the desk. DROP THE BUG IN THE WATER. He's finally home... JOB COMPLETE. Bentley breaks-in and tells Sly he's already receiving audio signals. MAKE A MENTAL NOTE that the secret combo vault is along the back wall. Back-track out of the office, out onto the balcony. Jump down to the lower level and work back to the HIDEOUT. On the way, look for clue bottles. You'll need 30.

RETURN VISIT LATER IN THE GAME: Should you be successful and get all 30 clue bottles, come back to Rajan's secret office and approach the vault. Bentley will give you the combination 3-8-6 which will open it. Inside a new power move. Sly now has the high voltage attack which will obliterate enemies large and small, in ONE SWIPE. Go into your menu [select] and activate to [L1].
