Dark Swamp Center 1 Welcome to Ruby's Lair. Bentley breaks-in and is scared out of his wits. He's detecting very high paranormal activity (ghosts and dead people). He also explains that the large skull and bone statue at the back is where Mz.Ruby must be hiding out. Rail jump to the vine and slide all the way down to the swamp center. Jump on dry land and climb up to the main village area. Mz.Ruby talks over the PA system about making more soup with lots of skulls and bones, before they conquer Mexico.

Dark Swamp Center 3 Near the center of the main village is a bone sculpture surrounded by candles. From here, we can go to 3 or 4 different levels. Two levels are blocked by forcefields for the time being, until we can get at least 3 secret keys. Nearby is a tiki drum that gives Sly access to an overhead log, taking you back to the village entrance. Near the cliff, is a small platform with a padlocked gate directly ahead in plain view. When Sly gets at least 3 keys, he will need to return here.

Dark Swamp Center 4 Off to the right of the center bone sculpture, near the cliff, bounce on the tiki drum. Up top is slide rail vine which leads to the first level The Lair of the Beast. Down below a tiki witch doctor is patrolling near the entrance. He doesn't see Sly as he slides overhead. Don't get too close to him. The tiki doctor's voodoo darts are deadly. Once Lair of the Beast is complete and you've unlocked the vault and have the secret key, venture over to the snake padlocked gate in the rock wall.

[Movie sequence begins] As Sly releases the 3 secret keys, the gate unlocks releasing a large underwater sea serpent. Without harming or noticing Sly, the sea serpent rises up out of the water and knocks-out the forcefield inside an archway nearby. We now have access to other parts of Ruby's Lair. The serpent disappears.

Dark Swamp Center 5 To access the next stage in Ruby's hideout, jump on the voodoo drum by the Piranha Lake entrance. While jumping in mid-air, grab the rope and climb to the top. Jump to the narrow ledge with the wooden fence. Note the blue sparkle lights around the base of the fence. There is NO WAY you're going to get past the fence entrance the normal way, with a witch doctor standing guard, shining his light over the entire area. Sneak around the fence on the left around to the back and whack the witch dcotor from behind.

Dark Swamp Center 6 After completing A Grave Undertaking, jump down from the upper ledge back to the main area. Now walk through the archway and kill the dangling spider. Up ahead is a large stew-pot with a weird stirring mechanism with large voodoo masks. The trick is to walk along the vines without being detected by hiding in the shadows of the masks while you walk. Spire jump to the vine and walk to the left. Jump off at the first path and run down into the next level Descent Into Danger.

Dark Swamp Center 7 After completing all the stages in Ruby's swamp, it's now time to meet the boss. From the exit portal for Down Home Cooking, go to the balcony overlooking the cauldron pot in the middle of the lake. Make sure Sly has all 7 secret keys. As you approach, the keys will magically travel to the cauldron and unlock the lid. The witch doctors that have been guarding the area, mysteriously vanish. Jump to one of the moving platforms.

From the platform, jump down to the center of the cauldron. Jump down on the lid of the cauldron. Bentley breaks-in and tells Sly that the pressure build-up from dropping the lid, will release and catapult Sly over to the mouth of Ruby's Lair.
