This must be the living quarters for Sir Raleigh's clan. A library with fireplaces and lots of books. Not to mention all the extra security!! Look to your right as you enter. Grab clue 1 & 2. Walk down the hallway. Bentley breaks-in and gives you the word on the blue carpets and the deadly globes with the dart guns inside. The only way past them is hiding inside the barrel and tip-toe across the carpet.. Ok so jump in the barrel, walk over clue 3 & 4 and jump out on the other side.

Make sure Sly is NOT on the carpet and whack the 2 globes. Take out the nearby flame thrower thug and jump back in the barrel. Tip-toe over to the elevator and take it down to the lower library. While still in the barrel tip-toe across the next blue carpet, jump out on the other side right next to the bookcases, then whack to the 2 dart gun globes. Whack all the nearby books lying on the floor. Bentley breaks-in again and tells Sly that the guards with the flashlights can't see Sly while he's not moving and hiding inside the barrel.

Jump back in the barrel and tip-toe between the 2 bookcases into the next open area. A guard is walking back and forth. As he walks away, tip-toe a little closer to him. As he turns around, lie very still and duck into the barrel. As he turns around, get a little closer. When you're close enough, as he turns around, jump out and whack him. Should he see Sly in his searchlight, he'll shoot Sly with his slime gun (instant death). To the right is a small safe. Whack it for clue 5 & 6.

Ahead is a bookcase sticking out at 90 degrees. Overhead you can see a clue bottle dangling from a rope. It's too high to whack from the floor. Jump to the top of the bookcase (a little hard) and then jump in mid-air and whack the bottle for clue 7. From the top of the bookcase, you can see another security guard with a flashlight on the left, and a ladder leading to a platform and 3 more clue bottles up top on the right. Climb the ladder on the right and grab bottles for clue 8,9 & 10.

From the platform, look down over the edge, to the security guard below. When he gets close, pounce on him. Whack all the nearby stacks of books for more gold coins then back-track and get the barrel. Bring the barrel over to the area with the 2 fireplaces and the long table. Watch the cycle of the flames coming from the fireplaces and then tip-toe across to the other
side avoiding the flames. Still in the barrel, tip-toe across the blue carpet, jump out and whack the dart-gun globes.

There are lots of clue bottles to get in this area. On the far side of the elevator, grab clue 11 & 12. On the other side of the elevator, grab clue 13. Near one fireplace you can grab clue 14 & 15. Around the other fireplace grab clue 16 & 17 then whack the small safe for clue 18 & 19. Find the barrel and tip-toe into the elevator. Up top, tip-toe in the barrel, across the catwalk, to the repeater station. Let Bentley take your photo. Take a moment and look what's up ahead.

Tip-toe across the next blue carpet, jump out and whack the dart-gun globe. Across the catwalk, are 2 searchlights and an alarm sentry against the far wall. Jump in the barrel and tip-toe across the catwalk. As the searchlight pans across the catwalk, lie still. As the light moves off, tip-toe a little more. The searchlight will pass over again. As it moves away again, tip-toe a little more. Once you're close to the alarm sentry, jump out and whack it as the searchlight moves away.

Clue 20 is right beside the bookcase. Walk back out to the catwalk, and jump to the ladder. Up top are clue 21 & 22 but more importantly, Sly sees the location of the level's combo vault. Jump back to the walk way. Up ahead is a security guard with a flashlight and a stack of books blocking the way. Walk up and while the guard is turned away, whack all the books clearing the walkway. This may take 2 tries, as Sly has to be VERY CAREFUL not to be seen by the flashlight.

Jump back in the barrel and approach the guard, but not too close. As he swings away, tip-toe a little closer. Once you're close enough, jump out and whack him. Jump to the first chandelier. Before going on to the other wall, jump up to the top of the other chandelier. Turn around and jump up to the lighting wheel, then turn around and jump to the high lighting wheel. Up top, grab clue 23,24 & 25. Jump back down to the walkway and get in the barrel. Tip-toe across the chandeliers.

Look to the left. There's a bookcase that is movable. Push the bookcase in on the left side by walking into it. The bookcase swivels revealing a small safe. Whack it and get clue 26 & 27. Jump in the barrel again and walk across the catwalk to the far wall. Watch-out for the searchlights. These ones are a little faster. Once you're close enough, jump out and whack the alarm sentry. Pick-up the nearby clue 28,29 & 30. Go up the last walkway in the barrel and clear the way.

DON'T GRAB THE KEY JUST YET! Back-track along the catwalks to the combination vault. Bentley breaks-in and gives you the combination 2-4-2. The vault reveals another page from the Thievius Raccoonus. This one from Chris Cooper and his DIVE COLLECTION TECHNIQUE. Sly's new move can break and collect coins while diving. Once done, go back along the catwalks, back across the chandeliers, to the very end, and grab the secret key. LEVEL ENDS.
