Duel By The Dragon

Duel By The Dragon 1 As Sly enters this area of Panda's Stronghold, he is immediately confronted by another ninja guard. Take him down as he attacks. Pick-up clues 1 & 2 on the right side of the roof. Jump to the circular fireworks rocket platform and whack the rockets to activate the pad. Jump to the next rocket pad and whack those rockets. Jump to the top of the roof before the rockets burn out. If you are still on the pad as they burn out, don't worry! Just whack the rockets again and you'll move up.

Duel By The Dragon 2 UH OH! Guess who's been waiting for you? Carmelita Fox calls Sly out and tells him that she is going to finally get him. She has been tracking him across the Himalayas and now has him cornered. Sly pleads his case that he is after a bigger criminal and needs Caremlita's help, but she stands firm. Ok... so this is going to be a challenge. Carmelita's going to be chasing you.

Duel By The Dragon 3 SHE HAS A LASER GUN! Watch out as she starts to shoot from the body of the golden dragon statue on the right. She will stay perched on the golden dragon (firing plasma rockets at you) all the way through this chase. Grab the hook and slide down the cable to the first bridge section. Pick-up clues 3, 4 & 5 on the left.

Duel By The Dragon 4 Walk down the slope under the tree, right up to the ice cave. The cave is protected by a series of icicles (acting like a cage). Whack the icicles with Sly's cane, and collect clues 6, 7 & 8. Run back up the ramp to the exposed bridge section before Carmelita can aim and fire on you. From time to time, Carmelita's plasma rockets will explode and release coins in the ground. Grab them as they pop up. Jump to the snow covered tree branch then across to the 2nd bridge section.

Duel By The Dragon 5 Again, Carmelita is relentless. She continues to fire on you, while you find your way. On the left, grab clues 9, 10 & 11. Up ahead are a series of icicle steps leading to a small snow covered platform. Jump from step to step. Be mindful that Carmelita will destroy the icicle steps behind you, as you jump. Quickly grab clues 12, 13 & 14 and whack the nearby fireworks rocket, A nearby wall collapses like a draw bridge. Carmelita will be firing at you. Before crossing the draw bridge section, run underneath and collect clues 15 & 16.

Duel By The Dragon 6 Run back up to the bridge section, smash the nearby small safe for clues 17 & 18. Jump and grab the overhead hook on the right. Tarzan swing over to the small platform, then ninja spire jump across 2 lantern poles as the firework sparks burn out. Jump to the newly created draw bridge section. Let the Sly camera take a picture for a SAVE POINT. Carmelita is close by, so DON'T STAND STILL IN 1 SPOT for any length of time. Take care of the ninja guard up ahead.

Duel By The Dragon 7 Jump down the treetop branches to the ledge on the left. [the play camera will go passive to an elevated view]. Pick-up clues 19, 20 & 21 then jump down to the larger platform at the bottom. Carmelita will resume firing at you again, and SHE'S CLOSE BY!! Climb the pole on the left side of the floor to the wooden platform up top. Whack the 2 fireworks rockets on the edge, and jump down right away, before Carmelita finds you. Climb the pole again just as she fires another rocket.

Duel By The Dragon 8 Her rocket is aimed at the floor where you were just standing. This will buy you time to climb the pole. Up top, find the hook across the overhead wire, and tarzan swing across. As you jump away from the hook, swing your cane in mid air and whack the fireworks rocket on the overhead wire. This 3rd rocket will finally knock down the next wall making another draw bridge. Collect clues 22, 23 & 24 on the right side of the floor area. DON'T STAND AROUND! Cross the new draw bridge.

GAMEPLAY NOTE: You can't pass this section unless you have successfully launched the 3rd rocket (which is not easy). If you miss, you have to climb the pole again, catch the hook, swing across and swish Sly's cane in mid air WHACKING THE ROCKET. There is no access to the overhead wire from the right side of the platfrom.

Duel By The Dragon 9 In this new section, there's a heavily guarded overhead wooden catwalk, winding off to the right. To the left by the small hut, collect clues 25 & 26 then smash the small safe for clues 27 & 28. Now work your way along the wooden bridge. Pick-up clues 29, 30 & 31 near the wooden posts. Up ahead at the end, look for the blue sparkle lights along the bottom of the bridge posts. Sneak across the posts. Wait for Carmelita to catch up. She's gonna make things easy!!

Duel By The Dragon 10 As Sly sneaks across the post beams, Carmelita will fire at you FROM VERY CLOSE RANGE, and blow-out the windows in front of you. As each window section shatters, sneak across and hide behind the next post. Let her fire away again and blow out the next window. Sneak across all the beam sections til you reach the very end, then jump down. There's a small ledge with a temple altar. Grab clues 32, 33 & 34 bobbing in the small pond on the left, then go up to the alter.

Duel By The Dragon 11 Smash the small safe for clues 35 & 36. Jump to the overhead roof section. We're now going to double back to where we came across the draw bridge. Jump from section to section quickly. Carmeliata will blow out each roof section behind you, as you go. At the end, take care of the ninja guard, and then jump across the overhead wire to the chinese lantern lamp then over to the small roof area (under the hut). Let the Sly camera take your picture for a critical SAVE POINT.

Duel By The Dragon 12 Hop up to the next small platform and grab clues 37 & 38. Up ahead an interesting challenge. Sly has to run the gauntlet crossing the icicle platforms, while Carmelita has you in her sights... To make matters worse, she MAY blow out the platforms IN FRONT OF YOU, stopping progress. Sly will have to wait for another icicle platform to drop from the cave ceiling. Time your jumps carefully. Let Carmelita fire a rocket THEN JUMP to the next icicle. Let her aim again, then jump.

Duel By The Dragon 14 Once you make it to the end, Carmelita disappears (thankfully) for awhile. Smash the small safe for clues 39 & 40. Notice that you are right beside the combo vault for this level. Bentley breaks-in and tells Sly that he can't break the combination? Apparently it's written in a special owl language. For now, leave the safe and whack the 2 nearby fireworks rockets. The explosions will open a staircase in the rock cliff on the right, that Sly can climb. Go up top.

Duel By The Dragon 15 Carmelita starts to open fire again, from the head of the golden dragon statue. Walk up the ramp to the very end of the tail of the statue. To the right are a series of fireworks rockets. Walk down the wing tips and whack each of the 5 rockets in sequence. After the last rocket explodes, the head of the dragon will fall (with Carmelita standing on top) releasing the secret key. Carmelita yells.. and vows she'll be back. Grab the key as it pops up. LEVEL ENDS.
