Unseen Foe

Unseen Foe 1 Welcome to the hood! Unseen Foe may mean one of two things? Either we're the unseen foe to Panda's clan, because we have the Invisibility Technique and can sneak about undetected, or the enemies here are the unseen foe because they sneak up on Sly undetected? Hmmm.. The door to this first building is locked. No Matter? Just drop in through one of the windows. Pick-up clue 1 & 2 near the front steps. Inside is a strange motorized conveyer belt. Bentley suggests you go invisible.

Unseen Foe 2 Sitting at the other end, with his searchlight glued to the conveyer belt, is a ninja guard. Ride the conveyer while invisible and then whack the gaurd from behind. Smash the small safe nearby for clue 3 & 4. smash all the nearby vases for lots of coins. Outside in the courtyard, another ninja is standing guard. His searchlight sweeps from left to right, revealing more clue bottles. Go invisible and invisibly sneak through his searchlight and whack him from behind. Pick-up clues 5 & 6.

Unseen Foe 3 Up ahead, a ninja guard is scanning the bridge from his lookout tower. The only way to pass is to sneak through his searchlight undetected. Once you jump over the crate, go invisible and sneak across the bridge to the other set of crates. Once clear, and the searchlight has gone back to the left, spring back to normal and run into the next building. You'll be back for this guy later.

Unseen Foe 4 This place has heavy duty security. Five searchlights are scanning the ramp from overhead, and a moving laser fence rolls down the ramp every 5-7 seconds or so. Either one is dangerous. Go invisible through either security system and you'll pass unhurt and undetected. Make your way up the ramp, smashing all the vases along the way. Up top, pick-up clue 7 and destroy the security alarm sentry. Walk out to the balcony.

Unseen Foe 5 Watch the fireworks lighting up the lantern poles. As they burn out, a blue spire sparkle appears. Ninja spire jump across the 2 poles to the roof the lookout tower. Look for the blue sparkle lights around the front of the roof, and sneak across, right over top of the guard. On the other side of the roof, run around to the back and pounce down on the ninja guard inside the hut. Collect clues 8 & 9 inside the tower. Grab the pipe and shimy back up to the roof, then ninja spire jump across the next 2 lantern poles.

Unseen Foe 6 Jump to the snow-covered treetop, then to the roof of the next building. Let the Sly camera take your picture for a SAVE POINT. Inside the next building, another converyer belt. This one is running in the wrong direction, opposite to where we need to go. Run up the conveyer to the half-way point, just out of range of the guard's searchlight. When the light goes all the way to the right, run up the left, and immediately whack the ninja guard, before he can react. Go to the room on the left and collect clues 10, 11 & 12.

Unseen Foe 7 Go to the room on the other side and collect clues 13 & 14. Don't forget to whack all the vases. Go out the room to the balcony on the left, and ninja slide down the cable to the terrace. (Note the popping chinese lanterns as you slide over them). On the terrace, watch out for ninja guards and small ninja monkeys. Take care of business. Smash the safe for clues 15 & 16. Whack all the blue fireworks rockets along the stone fence for coins. Jump on the rock and climb up the tree on the right for clues 17 & 18.

Unseen Foe 8 Once the area is cleaned-out, jump on the rock next to the building and jump up the snow covered treetops to the next roof. Walk around the back of the roof. Watch out for monkey ninjas, trying to ambush you. Around the back, another ninja guard with a searchlight. Go invisible and sneak past him through his light. Whack him and collect clues 19 & 20. Walk back around and climb the pipe up to the next roof level. Walk around this roof level and ninja slide across the cable to the next room.

Unseen Foe 9 Let the Sly camera take your picture for a SAVE POINT. Inside this room, a moving floor laser security trap. Suspended from the ceiling are 4 clue bottles. The only way you're going to get them, is to turn off the security first. Go invisible and sneak across. If need be, go visible in a safe area for just a second or two, to recharge your invisibility. On the other side, whack the alarm sentry. The lasers disappear. Go back and collect clues 21, 22, 23 & 24 by whacking the bottles.

Unseen Foe 10 Beside the alarm sentry, smash the small safe for clues 25 & 26 and pick-up the loose bootle behind the crates, for clue 27. Walk out to the balcony on the left. An overhead motorized cable is sending hooks. When a hook gets cloes, grab on and ride the cable across to the tower. At the other end, drop from the hook to the roof. Watch for more ninja monkeys. Work around the roof, pick-up clues 28 & 29 and climb up the pipes, 2 levels. Up top, DON'T GO INSIDE THE TOWER.

Unseen Foe 11 Climb the last pipe, to the very top roof of the tower. Great view from up here! Walk around the back. There's the secret combo vault. I was wondering where that was? ONE PROBLEM! We only have 29 clues (we're missing 1). LOOK UP! Yes... There it is, on the very top of the spire on the roof. Jump on the small trampoline pad next to the vault. This may take 2 or 3 well-timed bounces. Hope you're not scared of heights. Its a long fall if you miss. In mid-air, try a spire jump.

Unseen Foe 12 Once you have clue 30, jump back down and approach the vault. Bentley breaks-in and gives Sly the combination 6-6-7. The vault opens revealing the lost pages of the Thievius Raccoonus from Sir Augustine Cooper and his DEFY GRAVITY TECHNIQUE. Sly now has protection from falling off cliffs or bridges without losing a life or a lucky charm. Too easy! Walk back around the roof and shimy down the pipe, or just jump down one level. Go inside the tower. Bentley breaks-in.

Unseen Foe 14 Bentley is convinced that this is Panda's gunpowder factory. He warns to be very careful climbing down the tower. NO KIDDING! Security lasers everywhere. Look for the small platforms against the wall. Flip jump across the lasers to the small wall platform. Work across and down the tower, jumping from platform to platform, avoiding the lasers at all costs. At the bottom, whack the alarm sentry first (just in case), then grab the secret key. LEVEL ENDS.
