Welcome to the Himalaya Mountains, home of The Fiendish Five member #4... Panda King. This is home to snow and fireworks. It feels cold just thinking about this place. Nothing like rummaging around up to your waist in snow? Love the graphics here! Our plan is to get to the Panda King's Compound. Bentley & Murray leave Sly high atop the mountains. Walk through the gates. Watch-out for the ninja gorilla guard on the left. Let him jump towards you, and whack him.

Off to the right, by the rock cliff, smash the small safe and collect clues 1 & 2. Walk along the cliff up to the next fence and pick-up clues 3 & 4. Now walk to the left by the trees and pick-up clues 5, 6 & 7. Approach the small bridge. Let the ninja guard notice you and jump in front of you in his attack pose. As he stops, whack him with Sly's cane. Up ahead, another ninja guard is rolling small panda bears down the slope like snowballs. Dodge them all and whack the guard up by the top.

Walk down the passageway to the opening. [Cutaway Scene] Bentley sees The Panda King shooting off fireworks and destroying an entire village. He reminds Sly how critical this missions is, to stop all this killing of innocent people. Let the Sly camera take your picture for a SAVE POINT. Pick-up clue 8. Up ahead, use your cane to catch the hook, and swing across the gap. Run the gauntlet, with the panda bear snowballs rolling down the passageway. Once at the end, whack the guard causing all this trouble.

Walk over the wooden plank suspension bridge. The camera will go bird's eye view which my be a little distracting, but you'll see why shortly. Collect clues 9, 10 & 11 and jump across the first gap (use a front flip move for greater distance). At the second gap, use Sly's cane and catch the hook to swing across the gap. Walk up to the end of the bridge. The path to the left is blocked. Look for the blue sparkle light around the base of the house. Slowly sneak around the edge, to the right.

At this point, your dualshock controller will be vibrating like mad. LOOK UP! There are several icicles falling from the roof top, that are being triggered to drop, by small earthquakes. THESE ARE DEADLY! Watch for the falling snow just before the icicle drops. Sneak around to the right as fast as you can and let the next Sly camera take your picture for a SAVE POINT. Run the next gauntlet of icicles while your controller shakes. Once you're through the gate, things go quiet.

The next open area looks like a big sports field of some sort? There are rows of chinese lanterns criss-crossing the large area, keeping it all well-lit. At the end, 2 ninja guards are launching panda bear snowballs. Dodge the rolling snowballs as you walk up to the end to confront the ninja guards. I found walking up the right side edge of the field, worked best. Just after they launch their next assault, whack both guards before they reload.

Walk through the gate to the circular lookout. Whack all the small fireworks rockets with Sly's cane, for lots of coins and a nice visual display of fire and color. Now whack the LARGER fireworks rocket on the left. The rocket explodes and unlocks a drawbridge. Walk across, whack the vases (flowerpots) for more coins, then bounce up the pad inside the tower room. Bounce up to the next path. Let the Sly camera take your picture for a SAVE POINT. Walk down to the building.

The ninja guard patrolling this area, has a searchlight. DON'T BE SEEN! If you are caught in the light, you die! This is a good time to use your newly acquired Invisibility Cloak Disguise. Go invisible and let the light cover you, as the ninja guard moves. As he turns around, whack him. Around the edge of the building, you can see a blue sparkle light. Start to sneak around the right side of the building. Watch for overhead security searchlights scanning the walls.

Wait for the searchlights to go to the right. Sneak under the window cover and stay there til the searchlight passes over you to the left. The shadows will protect you from being detected. Now sneak around the corner to the back of the building. Watch the searchlights again, and sneak under the window canopy staying in the shadows. Sneak you way up the ramp on the right to the upper level. Whack the 3 large fireowrk rockets. This will kill the ninja guards inside the lookout.

Collect the bottles for clues 12, 13 & 14. In the far corner, whack the 2 fireworks rockets. 1 will explode blasting open a doorway into the next courtyard. The other rocket will circle around and explode inside the look-out, leaving a hole in the floor, giving Sly access to the lower level. Jump down to the lower level. AHA! The secret combo vault for this stage. Go out the front circular door (which now opens) and go to the left. Walk up throuh the archway into the garden terrace.

Just inside the doorway, look to the left. Smash the small safe for clues 15 & 16. Go up to the locked doors and let the Sly camera take your picture for another SAVE POINT. Now look to the right. There are several ninja guards patrolling in the tree garden terrace. Along the right terrace wall are several bobbing clue bottles. There are several more lying on the paths around the snow-covered bushes in the garden. Use Sly's Invisibility Cloak to sneak by all the guards.

The trick is to hunt through the entire garden undetected, while the ninja guards keep patrolling. Use your Invisibility Cloak whenever a searchlight is near you. Work your way to the very end of the terrace til you reach the steps. Up top, you'll find the secret key that will unlock the door leading to the Panda King's Inner Compound. Do not leave the terrace until you have all 30 clues. Once done, work
your way back to the lookout building with the combo vault.

Approach the vault. Bentley breaks-in and gives Sly the combination 5-7-8. Inside the vault are the lost pages from the Theivius Raccoonus from Huckleberry Cooper and his MOVING WHILE INVISIBLE TECHNIQUE. The description says it all. This will definitely come in handy during this mission. Sly is only able to SNEAK WALK while invisible, because of the powers of concentration required to keep up this illusion.

Leave the look-out building and go up the ramp to the exit door. As you approach, the secret key will fly away and engage the lock on the door, revealing an iris portal. Walk through the portal to enter Panda King's Compound. LEVEL ENDS.
