Spyro A New Beginning

Pyramid 1 [movie sequence begins] Spyro finds himself in a maze of terraces with stone blocks, turrets and a tribal warrior. Kane asks what they are doing here? This is no place for a small purple dragon? Sparx disagrees. Kane asks them to stay out of his way. Whatever... You're welcome!

Pyramid 2 Spyro starts at the lower ground level. It's like a maze. Go to the right and take care of the natives wandering around. Go to the back of each alley to find pottery urns for lots of gems. In the middle lower courtyard take care of the other natives that come running. I would suggest head butting and smashing all the bamboo spear fences just in case you fall from the upper levels. Go all the way to the other end of the pyramid and take down the last native. Jump up the boulders.

Pyramid 3 Jump up the boulder steps to the first grassy terrace. Across the suspension bridge are 3 poison dart cannon turrets and one huge tribal warrior. Smash the nearby spirit crystals and power-up your fireball to maximum (if you haven't already). Take out the cannon dead ahead first. Jump up in the air [XX] aim, and toss 2-3 fire bombs to take him out. Run across the bridge and collect the gems. From the cannon you took out, turn to the left for the next cannon.

Pyramid 4 Jump in air (maybe not so high this time) and toss 2-3 firebombs at the next cannon. You are in close range, so dodge his poison darts first and fire between cycles. Once he goes down, jump up to the next terrace and grab his gems. Go around to the back of the nearby terraces and smash all the hidden spirit crystals. Go back to the middle terrace between the 2 cannons you just blew up and look for 2 stone blocks. Power slam [XX0] them into the ground.

Pyramid 5 [cutaway scene] A nearby stone door opens to reveal a series of stone balls. The camera pans to a series of receptor stone bases where the balls have to go. This hidden alley is right below where we are standing. Jump down to the lowest level and find the stone balls. As you walk up to the balls, they start to move. Guide one of the balls with Spyro's nose to one of the bases (just like you did with the iceballs for the catapults). Drop the first ball in the base.

Pyramid 6 Go back to the alleyway again and nose the second ball. Push it towards another receptor base at the other end of the courtyard. Go back into the alleyway and now push the 3rd and 4th balls the other way through the alley into the other 2 bases on the far side of the courtyard. Once the last ball is in its place [cutaway scene] the bamboo gate at the upper level of the courtyard lowers to the ground accessing the next area. Climb back up the boulders to the terraces.

Pyramid 7 Now its time to take on the tribal warrior. From a safe distance, toss 1-2 firebombs right at him. Once he's flaming red, jump to his terrace and engage in a fight. This is good practice to change over to your electricity breath. Fire 2 spark bombs [R2] to light him up. While he's trapped in a paralytic shock in the air, try a few melee combos. Knock the life out of him! After he's done, go up top and take out the last cannon turret from point blank range.

Pyramid 8 Before jumping over to the stone arch, go to the small terrace area below, with the trees, and power-up with the 5 spirit crytsals. HINT: If you can... level UP your standard electricty breath as far as you can (NOT your spark ball [R2]). Now jump back up to the very top of the cannon turret, jump and glide over to the gate. [movie sequence begins] Kane yet again! And he's still not impressed. He says the spirit gods are angry and he's not sure Spyro is helping at all.
