[movie sequence begins] Spyro meets up with Octavio's brother (they look alike). His Manweersmall work crew is being held hostage in cages by Cynder's guards and he doesn't know what to do? Spyro knows.. and offers assistance.

The courtyard is wide open with a few large pieces of machinery scattered in among the lava pools. The manweersmalls are inside small cages that are quite different and easy to spot apart from the machinery. The first cage is off to the left. Head butt and whack the cage til it falls apart. The manweersmall springs free. He disappears under his hat into thin air (like the other manweersmalls). Battle the trolls that come to fight. Now look at the ground.

There is a black fuse running to 4 TNT gunpowder drums next to a building. Light the gunpowder with your fire breath. Watch the fuse as it burns (from a safe distance). The barrels explode and the round building collapses. No manweersmalls were in the building? Run along the left side of the area around the back of the building. Another manweersmall cage is at the back. Whack the cage and free him. He disappears under his hat.

Take care of the warriors that come down to block you. Watch for their dynamite sticks. Best to get rid of one at a time. Follow the back wall to the left, to another cage. Whack the cage and free another manweersmall. He disappears. More trolls appear out of nowhere. Take care of business. Use the electricity breath so you can knock your enemies into the lava pools. Look for the 1 spirit crystal and power up. Walk around the machinery to the next cage.

Now you're close to the main door and there's a large commander standing guard. He has a fire hammer that throws shock waves. Get in his way, and those shock waves will injure you. Whack the cage first and free the manweersmall. Now you can engage the commander. Toss a few fire bombs and run up to him while he's glowing red from the after effects. Flame and whack him repeatedly. He does go down eventually. The trick is to keep him occupied.

Free the last manweersmall from the cage on the other side of the door. Once he's gone, another commander appears. Run away to a safe distance, and repeat the attack like we did before. Toss a few firebombs and quickly run up to him. Flame and whack him continuously. Don't let him regain his edge over you. [movie sequence begins] Octavio is again happily reunited with his brother. They tell Spyro that Terrador is being held near the top of the volcano.
