After defeating Electirc King, walk into the castle. In the centre hall, a warrior troll is standing guard over a strange electrical device in the shape of a hexagon. There are 6 power crystals, one in each corner. First things first. Take care of the troll. All your regular moves work including flame and electricity. Once he's out of the way [action sequence begins] The crystals start to arc with power and form a power grid.
All Spyro has to do is headbutt or whack each one of the power crystals. After each crytsal is broken, the adjoining power arc disappears. Break all 6 crystals and stand in the middle square. The platform starts to rise like an elevator. Trolls will drop in along the way. Use your electricity breath to shock and push them off the elevator. The platform stops at an upper floor level. The crystals regenerate and a power grid forms freezing the elevator.
Along the walls, there are gated arches (you've seen them before). Trolls come running out from each one of 6 arches. Take on the trolls, one at a time, and collect all their gems. You have to defeat ALL the trolls before the crystals are accessible to break. This may take awhile. Once the area is quiet, break all 6 crystals and walk to the middle square of the elevator. Go for another ride up the tower. The platform stops at another upper level, and of course, more trolls.

This area is a little tougher. Spyro has to fly off the platform to the perimeter, and work his way around the balcony ledge. Fighting in tight quarters could be challenging. Best offence is electricity breath. It's quite fun to shock your enemies and push them over the ledge to the level below. Sometimes, the fall is not quite far enough for the gems to come back to you (you see them lying on the floor below), so watch your power. DON'T GO AFTER STRAY GEMS BELOW!

Defeat every single last troll that comes out to fight. Once done, walk all the way around the balcony ledge and whack all the power crystals. Now fly and glide to the center platform and take the elevator all the way up to the top of the tower. [movie sequence begins] Cynder has been expecting you. She flies around the rooftop of the tower as you make your presence known. Ignitus is being held in a gravity field high in the tower and is helpless.
Cynder is itching for a fight and wants to get rid of you once a for all. She soars down from her perch and challenges Spyro to try and get Ignitus. Cynder is not going to be easy. She has a deadly long tail whack and her legs and arms throw punches. Best to stay at a safe distance. There are only 2-3 spirit crystals to recharge your energy so use your power wisely. Electicity and ice didn't work well, even at highest level UP. Flame is good!
3-4 Earth bombs [triangle] paralyzed Cynder in a tornado storm just long enough that Spyro can do several mid-air melee combos from her back side. This knocked alot of her health away in a hurry. Once she shakes free of the tornado storm, do it again! 3-4 tornado bursts and she's paralyzed again. Jump in the air and melee combo her wings and body. You'll definitely eat up one full health bar and she'll be weakened. If you die, you come right back to start over.
Hopefully you saved your blue ring secret weapon (and it's fully charged). Use the earth fury [R2] from close range. The rocks pounding on her will take a HUGE BITE out of Cynder, leaving her very weak. So weak, that melee combos and fire breath from behind are alot easier (she's not moving as fast). [movie sequence begins]. Cynder goes down in defeat but isn't dead and flies off in defiance into a giant wormhole in the sky to reunite with the Dark Master. Ignitus is freed.
[long movie sequence] Spyro is desparate to chase after Cynder but Ignitus cautions Spyro about what's at stake and starts to explain the whole story to Spyro. Cynder is under the spell of the Dark Master who has been trapped in another world for generations. It would be a horrible thing for him to come back into this world. Cynder has no idea what she is doing. She herself was a special dragon just like Spyro?
Ignitus knows that what lies beyond the wormhole is another world very mysterious and dangerous. Probably not a wise idea for Spyro to go there. But Spyro, being defiant, proud and courageous, says he must fight, even now more than ever. Ignitus reluctantly agrees in the end and wishes Spyro good luck. Spyro flies away from Cynder's castle and dives into the wormhole.
