Spyro and Sparx walk into the next large valley and hear this horrible load noise. They know now they are not alone. But Spyro is undaunted and moves on.

[movie sequence begins] Spyro and Sparx run into Ignitus the Guardian Dragon. He's a tall elder dragon and is shocked to see Spyro. He was hopeful that the legendary purple dragon would survive but he had no idea he would be meeting Spyro. He is pleased. But.. he explains the history of the dragon order to Spyro and the challenge that lies ahead. It's not an easy road, and Cynder the black dragon is powerful. Ignitus suggests that they go to the temple.

The path to the temple goes through many locked doors. Some locked with magic and some locked with the placement of special statues. Ignitus fears the worse and senses that Cynder's forces are at work. As they go through the doors, Ignitus comes to a door that won't open. He asks Spyro to help find the statues and look for a cave that small animals use. To the left, is a blocked passageway. Jump up on the ledge and head-butt through the tree roots. Go inside.

The caves are a little dark, but Sparx is there to light the way. As you enter the first room, 2 mushroom spiders drop to the floor. We are in a tight space so go right into action as soon as you see them. Flame both spiders until they turn red. Pick one of them, and head-butt them til they fall over. WATCH THE ENEMY HEALTH METER. The first one that gets up, flame them again and head-butt them til they vaporize. 3 more mushroom spiders jump down into the cave.

Take care of the 3 spiders. Don't worry too much about YOUR HEALTH. Every time you kill an enemy, you will get some blue and red gems that will recharge your health and spirit. Walk to the statues, and with your head, push the statue into the receptor plate by the door. The statues will light up and the door will open. You are rejoined with Ignitus. Go through the next set of doors and fight the trolls (as Ignitus asks) that come running. Go to the next set of doors.
