[movie sequence begins] Spyro and Sparx land on the shore of the island of the volcano. Ignitus warns Spyro not to linger. Cynder is on the move again..

First thing you'll notice about this place, is there's lots going on. Bombs are exploding everywhere. They are coming from the overhead cannon towers. When you get a chance, it would be a very good idea to go to the base of both machines and head-butt the legs of the machine or use a firebomb to break it. [cutaway scene] shows the top of the turret blowing up and collapsing into the base. Fight all the guards as they come out to challenge you.

This is what the cannon tower looks like. The base of the machine has 3 legs. All you have to do is break one. Next to the turret tower is an oil derrick. Tossing a firebomb on the derrick will disable the supply of lava mortar to the cannon tower. So the trick is to disable both machine (just in case). Run over to the far side of the beach and up the broken railway tracks to the end. Jump down and grab the spirit crystals. Go up the other set of tracks to the tunnel.

Inside the tunnel a new surprize: fireflies and beehives. Fireflies have a nasty bite and go down best with a series of head butts and tail whacks. Because they move around and are small, they don't seem to be affected very much by fire breath or electricity? When they die, they leave a orange goo sprayed all over the ground. The beehives need to be taken out as well. As long as a beehive stays active orange more fireflies will spawn and cause grief.

At the end of the tunnel is a large cave with lava lakes below. Jump and glide to the lower platform on the left. Gliding blind to the ground could be a rough landing in the lava (definite injury). There's a warrior (who tosses dynamite) over on the next platform. Throw a few firebombs to stun him, then jump over to his platform. Change over to electricty breath and shock him off the platform. You can collect his gems after you jump down to ground level.

On the ground level a wave of 4 trolls jumps down from the tunnel. Engage in the battle in whatever way you want. Use your fire breath and melee combos, or just use your electricity breath and push your victims into the lava lakes. 2 more waves of trolls will pour in from the tunnel. Take care of business. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of room so you don't end up being pushed into the lava yourself. Go up the steps and blast open the door.
