[Movie sequence begins] Ignitus is deep inside the guardian temple while it is under attack by Cynder and her evil forces. Ignitus knows that he must save the last dragon egg.. He takes the purple egg and flies deep into the mushroom forest. In the forest, under the darkness of night, gently puts the egg on the inside of a mushroom and floats it down the river. He dreams that one day the dragons will return to their former glory, but for now he can only hope?

Spyro first meets up with Sparx, his long time buddy. Little does Spyro know, that Sparx is in fact his brother and born on the same day. The first set of screens from here, are all about learning the basic controls, like the screen camera [right analog stick] and Spyro's navigation [left analog stick]. Learn how to jump and run and speed run to catch up with Sparx as he leads you down the path deeper into the mushrrom forest. Eventually you face the frogweed.

All Spyro has to do is head-butt the frogweed [circle] a few times and he vaporizes. Follow Sparx down the path and take care of all the frogweeds along the way. Head-butt through the blocked arches and then use the melee move [3 circles] to follow him through the dargon's mouth. The glowing mushrooms along the way behind the spider webs don't really have any magic power or gems, but they are fun to bash anyway (practice is a good thing). Walk into the clearing.

[movie sequence begins] Sparx is taken captive by one of the cave beasts, and is being held in a small cage high atop the cliff. Spyro has to fend off all the cave trolls that come down to fight him. Head-butt them all quickly. Note the health meter of your enemy in the upper right hand corner. They will fall down, vaporize and leave you gems. Eventually they all fall by the wayside. Spyro gets very angry, and in a fit of rage throws a flame for the first time. Sparx's impressed!

[Movie sequence begins] Sparx is so excited to tell his parents that Spyro can shoot fire from his mouth. The parents seem to understand already and tell Spyro all about his past and his destiny to do great things. They tell him all about how his egg was found, and that they are all still family. Spyro gets restless and tells his family that he must go find out who he really is.
