[movie sequence begins] Spyro sees Kane up on a high ledge above the waterfalls, trapped in a corner by a few stone crushers. He's in a jam.
Spyro and Sparx watch helplessly as Kane is tossed over the waterfall and lands unconscious in the river. He's floating away to certain death to another waterfall over the edge of the island. Spyro instinctively goes into a rage and snorts an ice breath to freeze the water. What the heck? Another power? Sparx is confused and asks Spyro how many of these tricks does he have up his sleeve anyway? Needless to say, Kane is saved to see another day.

Spyro now has ice power. Freeze can be good for some enemies but needs to be powered up to maximum strength before it will help fight off a Dreadwing or really big enemy. Well.. The 4 stone crushers that were trying to kill Kane are sticking around and want some action. Firebomb them from the upper ledge (fun to watch) and then when you're ready go down to the lower level and take em on, one at a time. Pick up the gems, and go through the opened gate.

In the next area, we're penned in. 3 native warriors slightly larger than before come down to wrestle. Flame them and head-butt til they go down. 3 more come down. There a larger tribal leader throwing dynamite down from above to make things interesting. Once things are quiet, go smash all the spirit crystals against the far wall. There are lots more spirit crystals off to the right behind the bamboo fence. Walk along the back ledge to the second terrace.
Off to the right there are 2 native warriors with dynamite sticks, AND a poison dart cannon turret. From a safe distance, jump high in the air and throw 3-4 firebombs. Hopefully, the explosions will not only take down the turret but also the warriors. Jump over to the far ledge and clean up the gems. Now turn left and focus on the tribal leader. He's on a higher ledge. Run up halfway, quickly shoot a firebomb then jump up top meet him head-on.

This guy is big! Flame him until he falls over. Quickly melee combo him to knock down his health. He gets up quite fast. Flame him hard again til he falls over. Kick him again a few times. His armor will eventually shatter and you can flame him til he dies. Grab the pile of gems he leaves behind. Go down the next alleyway to the large open area. Take care of the rolling armourdillos that try to block your way. Don't forget to grab the pottery along the way.
Walk down the tree trunk to the right first. Smash through the bamboo fence and grab all the pottery urns. Now take care of the warrior that comes running up the tree trunk tunnel. Walk down the tunnel to the other end. Welcome to the gauntlet! 2 poison dart cannons, 3 warriors with dynamite sticks, big bamboo fences, and a tribal leader at the end, overseeing everything. Ok... 2 choices, run to the middle and use Fire Fury [R2] or firebomb the heck out of them.
I chose to use firebombs because it's so much fun to watch the explosions and the carnage. Grab all the loose gems along the way and go meet up with the native leader. He's hiding behind a small stone wall on an upper ledge. Make sure to break all the bamboo sticks first. Don't want to get hurt! This guy is the same as the other leader. Pay attention to knocking him over. Melee him once he's down. As soon as he gets up, before he gets a chance to hit you, flame him.
In the next area, more trouble. Another tribal leader is up on the back left behind a stone block, watching all the action, and throwing dynamite. Take care of all the warriors that come out to play and then take down the leader with the firebombs first (to knock him over), then flame him into submission. Once the place is quiet, 2 gates will open along the back wall. Don't forget the spirit crystals. Good time to Level UP. Walk through either gate.
