The portal to this level was opened by Spyro jumping on all 5 octagonal islands in the pool area by the waterfalls. When you have jumped on the last one, they will all light up and the back wall will open, revealing the portal.

OK.. Time to have some bonus fun. This is the first of several flight training levels just to get you comfortable with Spyro's flying ability. At the same time, you get some gems as a reward. In these levels, when Spyro lands in the water, he doesn't lose a life, but he does get to retry the level again. Each leg consists of 8 items. Completing one stage awards 60 gems. Finishing all legs in one sweep, before the timer runs out, awards another 60 gems for a grand total of 300 gems. All flight levels are the same format. To exit, just QUIT at the score screen when the timer runs out.

[Notice the wing vapor trails].This level has barrels mounted on trains, arches, planes and gold treasure chests. Because time is so short, I did the following. Straight ahead to the train ready to enter the tunnel. Hard left going down the tracks in the opposite direction of the trains. Get all 8 barrels then a hard circle out to the arch. Go right and through 6 arches. After the 6th arch, make a hard right through the tunnel with all the chests. Circle the inner area and after the 8th chest fly out the tunnel and through the last 2 arches. Take out the remaining planes. My time 1:50.
