Ratchet & Clank are now back in the starport complex where we were the first time we landed. Off to the left, there are more ninjas and robo-troopers by the shuttle pad, but Qwark's shuttle ship in no longer there. The pad is empty.
Down the walkway to the right, one ninja stands poised, waiting for Ratchet to make a move. Load the Annihilator and make quick work of him with a couple of missles. Load the Rift Inducer and walk down about half-way. Fire a grenade right between the block baracades and let the black-hole suck in all the troopers. In this photo, notice that my Nanotech health has increased. Every time this happens, your health automatically restores to 100 %.
Continue down the walkway til you reach the door. As you get close, the door automatically opens, and several fiesty ninja come jumping out and start to attack. Fire another Rift grenade or 2, right in the doorway. The ninjas will get sucked backwards into the black-hole before they reach you. God I love technology!! There are more ninjas waiting in the hangar. Fire another grenade into the hangar, and suck in the ninjas as they move to attack. Whack the docked ships for bolts.
Heli-jump up the ledge to the upper platform. There's heavy security waiting for you up top. Load the Agents of Doom and toss 1 canister to activate your hover squad. Load the Mega-turret run up to the troopers, toss 2-3 spikes and quickly run back for cover behind the baracades. Watch as the turret missles, gun down all the troopers firing away at you. Your micro-bot hover squad will also fire away at any trooper until they vaporize. Load the Annihilator and walk up ahead.
Another squad of troopers hover-in from the cave and start to fire on Ratchet. Take em down quickly at close range with the Annihilator. To the left and right are docked ships inside small rooms. Whack both ships. Now look to the right. A new secret hidden room is now open. Inside, a familiar glow. Go inside and grab the titanium bolt. Up ahead is a versa-target and a far-away platform swarming with troopers. DON'T LOAD THE HYPERSHOT JUST YET!! Load the Mega-turret.
Walk up to the egde of the platform by the cave. Look for the target ring for the turret on the far platform. It should just reach (turns white). Toss 2 canisters down to the far platform and watch the turret missles seek and destroy the troopers as they scramble. The odd trooper may escape the carnage momentarily and fire shots at Ratchet. Just jump out of the way as the gun fire approaches. Now load the Hypershot and tarzan swing then heli-glide, down to the platform.
Look left. Up ahead is another versa-target. There's a sniper patrolling on an upper catwalk. DON'T GET TOO CLOSE! This guy is nasty and has an infared laser target lock that if he locks-on to Ratchet will mean instant heavy injury, or worse. Keep your distance. Load the Flux Rifle. Zoom-in using sniper mode, and wait for the sniper to patrol and stop, either right or left. When he stops, peg him with one clean shot. Load the Hypershot and tarzan swing to the catwalk.
HEALTH STRATEGY: Should you happen to pass-out during this mission, Ratchet will re-start way back by the shuttle pad. There are NO CONTINUE POINTS. Best strategy is to use the Rift Inducer and long-range weapons to your advantage. Stay alive!
From the upper catwalk, look ahead to the mechanical room. There another squad of troopers marching around. They'll see you soon enough, run and hide behind the baracades. As they start to fire, from the edge of the catwalk, load the Mega-turret and toss 2-3 canisters down to the platform. As soon the turrets start to fire missles, heli-glide down to the platform and join in the fight. Hide behind the baracades on the left and if troopers are still alive, toss another turret spike.
Watch-out for renegade ninjas that drop down from the roof. Load the Annihilator and peg them from close range. It's even fun to take em down with a comet-strike from your wrench. As you walk down the platform, another platoon of troopers materialize right in front. Load the Holo-Shield and create a shield right in front of you. Load the Annihilator and peg the troopers one at a time from behind the shield. Watch-out for more ninjas attacking from behind. Clean-up the bolts.
ALTERNATE WEAPONS: In the mechanical room, you could load the Rift Inducer instead, with no holo-shield, and fire 2 grenades at the second platoon of troopers, to suck em all in. It may also help defend against ninjas trying to sneak up on you?
Before moving to the next room, look up. Jump up to the baracades and then heli-jump up to the overhead balcony. Go inside the small room and grab the bolts. Look across to the other side of the room. See the familiar glow. Take a running heli-jump over to the far balcony, go inside and grab the titanium bolt. From here you can drop down to the ground. Once you grab the bolt, a couple more ninjas will appear as you jump down. Take care of them which ever way you like.
The next room is a long storage garage for ships. There are snipers hiding behind the support columns. As Ratchet enters the room, the snipers try to lock-on their infared target lasers. Load the Holo-Shield and generate a shield just inside the door. The Agents of Doom are too far away to do any good just yet! Load the Flux Rifle and look for the snipers behind the columns. If you can, peg them from behind the shield. If you can't see them, run up to draw them out, then shoot.
If they're still hard to get, run up behind one of the middle columns, load the Agents of Doom and toss 2 canisters. The first canister will load your hover security, but the second canister will deploy 4 micro-bots on the ground. They'll run ahead and rout-out the snipers for you. Load the Annihilator and finish-off any enemies that are left lurking around. Whack all the stacks of crates and the drop-ships for mounds of bolts and ammo, but only 1 Nanotech health cube. Health may be an issue?
Out the far door, we're back near the lava lake along an outer walkway. More security troopers, but this platoon is all hovering. Yikes! Baracades may not be as helpful as you like? Go very slowly down the walkway. Load the Rift Inducer and zoom-in using the target ring for mid-air. Fire a rift grenade. The black-hole will be created in mid-air and hopefully suck the troopers in before they fire. If you're too far away, run up to them, have them chase you, then fire a grenade in mid-air.
Past the baracades, more troopers and ninjas will deploy and start attacking. Fire 1 rift grenade and see what happens. If all the enemies aren't sucked in, fire another rift grenade. Up ahead is the walkway leading to the exit. The baracades have a few heavy duty snipers waiting for you. From behind the column, load the Mega-turret and toss 2 spikes blindly to the walkway. The turret missles will find the snipers standing on the blocks and clear the way for you.
Walk out from behind the column, run-up and hide behind the blocks on the walkway. 2 more hovering troopers are there standing guard, waiting, just past the blocks. Quickly run out and toss another turret spike past the blocks. The troopers will open fire right away. Duck for cover. Wait for the turret missles to seek out and destroy the guards in mid-air. The coast should now be clear. Clean-up any crates left over and walk up to the final circular platform.
In the middle of the platform, is a floating gadget. Go up and grab the Bolt Grabber V2. Helga breaks-in and announces that you have just received an enhancement making the Oniwrench more powerful. We can now comet-strike or hyper-strike with 10 times the force... making anything disintegrate that is breakable, within sight. MISSION COMPLETE. Return to your ship using the teleport pad, and fly to the Phoenix. There is nowhere else we can go at this time..
