Before going to the outside dock area, Ratchet will need the Hypershot. To get this gadget, (and the Hacker), Ratchet has to complete the VR Gadget Training back on the Starship Phoenix under Special Agent Helga's supervision.

Load the Hypershot. Walk to the end of the pier. Point to the versa-target hovering high in the air, grapple and tarzan swing across the water. Heli-glide to the dock area. You WON'T need the Gadgetron Kiosk for this mission. It's you against the machine. Go to the right and use the Hypershot to swing up to the high platform. Use the hypershot again to activate the hover butterfly platform. Jump across to the next dock area. A combat fighter jet warps into the sky.

This fighter jet is going to chase you through the dock area. He's too far away to take down with any of your weapons. His missle fire is deliberate and will come dangerously close should you stand still for any length of time. Watch for the circle with the X that appears right near you as the jet fires a missle. Think of it as a target ring. The missle blast will destroy any piece of dock that it hits. If you happen to be on that dock section, you'll go down with the wreckage.

Hop-scotch across the dock sections avoiding the missle fire. At the end, jump to dry land. Whack all the stacks of crates and then bounce up the walls of the pier, to the top. The fighter jet has disappeared for the moment? Wih the Hypershot still loaded, activate the butterfly platforms then tarzan across the versa-targets to the next set of honeycomb dock platforms. As you swing across, the fighter jet re-appears overhead. It starts to fire missles on you as you land.

Dodge the missle fire as best you can, making sure you don't stand in one place for even a second, and jump to safety at the solid platform. Catch your breath and get ready for the gauntlet. Tarzan swing across the next set of versa-targets and heli-glide safely on the single honeycomb platforms. Move quickly. The fighter jet will blow away the platform from underneath you, as you jump to the next platform. At the end, go left down the next set of platforms. The jet is hot on your heels. Finally you reach the end.

At this point, the fighter jet has disappeared. There's a teleport nearby, back to your ship at the end of the platform. Ratchet has the option to return to the ship, or take on the fighter jet in a big boss arena battle. Swing across to the circular dock platform. The ship appears right in front of you. Load the Mini-turret and drop spikes all around the platform. Load the Spitting Hydra and zap the ship as it materializes. Eventually, the ship explodes from the relentless pounding.

Tarzan swing across the last versa-target to the round building on the cliff. [Movie sequence begins]. The walls inside are covered with posters of Courtney Gears. Ratchet is impressed with this pop star and would do anything to meet her. Clank finds out that Courtney is giving away a vaulable prize at Annihilation Nation to the winner of her gauntlet challenge. Ratchet's raring to go. Clank agrees it would be helpful to meet her. Before we leave Daxx, a slight detour before jumping in the hover taxi. To the right is a butterfly platform and a long set of versa-targets off in the distance. This Hypershot challenge (which is a little trickey), leads to a titanium bolt down on a remote island. Go grab the bolt and then take the hover taxi back to the ship shuttle pad. Fly back to Annihilation Nation to meet Courtney Gears. MISSION COMPLETE.
