Research Facility [Movie sequence]. This is an episode of Super Villan Weekly. The announcer is interviewing Nefarious and his trusty sidekick Lawrence, on their home planet. They talk about the weapon, and Lawrence of course, says it's not really a weapon and isn't the view here spectacular? Lawrence is the genius and patience behind the thyrranical insane robot that is Dr. Nefarious. Time to go visit and find out what's going on.

Research Facility 1 Landing on the planet, we discover quickly that there is only one option at this time. To the right, are a series of versa-targets going off over the water. One big problem, we don't have the Hypershot. Load up with everything first at the Gadgetron Kiosk. Up to the left, are a series of rock steps leading to the back of the island. Load the Plasma Whip jump up top and rodeo-whip all the bees. Watch-out for the huge hover robo-noid that flies up from the canyon. He's nasty!

Research Facility 2 He starts to fire a set of deadly plasma guns that inflict extreme damage. Drop back down the steps, out of line of fire and load the Flux Rifle. Go into sniper mode and take him down with 1 shot. Jump to the next ledge and rodeo-whip the swarm of bees. To the left, there's another hovering robo-noid standing watch. Load the Flux Rifle and in sniper mode zoom all the way in and peg him from behind a rock from a distance, before he sees you. Walk down the path to the building.

Research Facility 3 As you enter the building, another hovering robo-noid, rises up from behind the building. Go quickly into sniper mode and shoot him BEFORE he starts to fire. Go inside the building and up on the roof, and clean-up all the bolts and ammo. Nearby is a Nantoech health sphere should you need it. Load the Plasma Whip again and take out the swarming bees on the ground and up on the next ledge. Don't go down the bridge just yet. You know it's going to be trouble.

Research Facility 4 Load the Mini-turret Glove and run down the bridge. About half-way toss 3 spikes then quickly run back and hide behind a rock or palm tree. 4 hover robo-noids come out from behind the rocks and start to fire. Good thing the rocket turret spikes are there to take them on while you hide for cover. One of the hover noids is not fooled by your remote turret-fire and comes after Ratchet up to the end of the bridge. Load the Flux Rifle and snipe him point blank from behind the rocks.

Research Facility 5 Once the coast is clear, walk down to the island and whack all the crates for lots of bolts. Jump across the dock to the far steps leading up to a round domed building. Whack all the crates at the top of the rock steps. Inside the building are a pair of Charge Boots. Nice prize? These boots will help Ratchet zoom through streets or get out of tough situations. To use the boots just tap [R1 twice] and watch the boots kick in.

Research Facility 6 Before jumping off the edge of the exit of the building, look to your right on the balcony. A famliar golden glow? Grab the Plumber Trophy. Now drop to the ground. MISSION COMPLETE. Before moving on, remember that you need the Hypershot first. If you don't have it yet, go back to the Phoenix to Helga's VR Gadget Training.
