Getting to this secret area of the game is half the fun. There are only 2 ways to get here. Either you have found the teleport pad on Metropolis and know the right time on the clock (which just happens to be between 3 and 4 o-clock), or you have collected all 15 trophies and have opened the access doors on the Starship Phoenix. Either way is no easy feat, and if you have made it here, you know that this is an extra special treat.
Here are a few highlights!

ATV Dirt Racer:
Find the room in the museum with the dune buggy hologram and jump in using [triangle]. Try out the test track they built in the Nabla Forest. This is wicked! It was originally intended to have dune buggy races on Florana, but it was thought that it would add too much race complexity to the game because of the difficulty to maneuver the bumps and jumps. It would have been great?

Prototype Robo-Noids:
This game engineer shows us 2 original first generation designs for robo-noids that would have been used to attack Ratchet. The problem was the intricate mechanics were just a little too sophisticated to re-create accurately in the game, without slowing it down. You can see what they would have moved like, by pressing [triangle] to view the animation sequences of each enemy.

Prototype Hovercraft:
This game engineer shows us another original design of a hover speed-boat that could have been used in the game, but never was. Looks cool, but you can't test it out? Around the corner from this office is a long wall with 5 Hacker Terminals. A number of software designers created their own hacker sequences... Very sick people!!. You can even create your own tumbler core and colors?

Combat Hover Tank:
The game scenario developers were originally considering have battle tank missions on some of the planets along with the regular battle missions and for online gaming. Take the hover tank up to the roof deck of the museum. Zoom around on the roof and shoot the cannons. Unfortunately, there was nothing to shoot at? DARN!!

Pirate Captain Big Boss:
This guy reminds me of Swingblade from Going Commando. A nasty big boss with long plasma whip swords. Even in the museum, he inflicts injury if you get too close (never guessed that would happen). They were even thinking of including more than 2-3 of these guys in one of the arena challenges in Annihilation Nation. That would have been nasty? Great enemy character though.

There is much more to see and do inside the museum that I don't want to reveal. You could literally spend 2-3 hours playing with different special effects engines or trying to beat the hacker challenges. Not to mention a special vid comic episode?
